9/11 Coincidences (Part Eight) UPDATE
Oh, dear...it looks as if the dam is fit to burst, eh, dear readers?
The scuttlebutt on this video is that it's being removed faster than Jenna Bush's underwear at a frat house (I was gonna say Lindsey Lohan, but I LOVE that girl...and I don't like our scumbag lapdog media trying to portray her in a similar light as our recently-married cum-dumpster...oh...THAT'S gonna leave a mark!); but this should convince even the retarded among us that the three buildings that "failed", "blew up", "came down", whatever bloody euphemism one wishes to use, WERE BROUGHT DOWN BY CONTROLLED DEMOLITION.
PERIOD.
In case the video is "Orwellized" as in the Bill O'Reilly Inside Edition Rant, please find it here - 9-11 Coincidences (Part Eight) UPDATE.
From a previous rant:
As far as the buildings...how does one reconcile the actual physics and chemistry involved? And those are my weakest science subjects!
I wonder if people realize that they paid to hear Rudolph Giuliani lie to them for over six years? Maybe that's why his campaign went into the shitter! Ha ha, scumbag!
You see, for me, it's a matter of these fucking retards lying to my face about what occurred - the whole story is a farce from beginning to end.
Some idiot ex-CIA guy is actually the leader of some rebel force that is so fearsome, they named themselves after a toilet - this guy is also on a dialysis machine, yet is able to elude any and all forces sent to detain him! Wow! Colonel Kurtz's got nothing on this guy!
Now...he informs the Israelis, and they are able to send out a warning...how nice.
Meanwhile, back in NYC, it's a crystal-clear day...four planes take off from Logan Airport...security managed by an Israeli firm...hey...did they get that warning, too?
Willie Brown knows not to fly.
The Senate is on Cipro.
Salman Rushdie is barred from flying.
First plane impacts with WTC2 - The Monkey King states that he saw the first impact as it occurred...imagine that.
There are Israelis doing the frickin' Riverdance all over the city. Some are so excited, they left their businesses in the WTC buildings! Some, days earlier.
White vans with "non-Arab Middle Easterners" pop up like Sir Charge in that not-so-great Whack-A-Octogenarian commercial (the first Sir Charge commercial was genius...but they "jumped the shark" on the concept already). Ooohh...the bomb-sniffing dogs are going wild! Too bad that they had been removed from the WTC complex in the weeks before the infamous "event".
Binyamin Netanyahu realizes, "Hey - this is frickin' great - now the whole damn world will stop criticizing us on our "appropriation" of Palestine...eh...what? No, schmuck, I meant Jerusalem!"
Another plane...er...where's our air defense?
Richard B. "Skeletor" Cheney: "Hey...just for laughs, let's have a commercial plane totally violate the air space of the NERVE CENTER OF THE UNITED STATES' DEFENSE DEPARTMENT!!! Then let's hide all of the video! The CT's will be eating their own feces trying to figure out what happened!"
Oh, crap! You mean the frickin' passengers got into the cockpit and saw that NO ONE'S FLYING THE DAMN PLANE?!? Shite! SHOOT THAT FUCKER DOWN! And get Ted Olson's wife to do a reading for us...you have that voice-morphing software ready to go? Let's start with this Mark Bingham guy..."
Hey...bonanza! Not only did we happen to pop the trunk of the guy who took the terrorists to the airport; we got two, count 'em, TWO, passports! Geez, I need a suit made out of this stuff.
Folks...I could rant on and on...but it's annoying, I'm sure, to constantly listen to someone sound so bloody self-righteous all the time, yes? I believe that this is the main problem facing the various September 11th Truth Factions. You see...right-wing radio shows conduct what they call "drive-by" broadcasts, saying whatever crap they can make up at the time, then having sycophants to cement said issue in the "minds" of the dittoheads/Factor fans, etc; while left-wing broadcasters heap boring-ass fact after boring-ass fact onerously one after another, until even the most die-hard truth-seeker is dulled into a coma.
Well...my case is a bit different than most.
I DON'T LIKE BEING LIED TO BY IDIOTS.
And understand this: anyone who thought that after watching those damned buildings come down in the fashion that they did, that they were felled by AIRPLANES...ahh...you really are a complete dullard. You DESERVE to be euthanized, sterilized, and relegated to being a "useless eater", and you should consider yourself a complete waste of oxygen.
That's all for now.
UPDATE: Senator Ted Kennedy is relaxing in a hospital after reports that he was suffering from seizures...so, I'm watching CNN, and of course, the candidates are taking this opportunity to give their well wishes to their fellow senator...but I was INCENSED to see Shillary STANDING IN FRONT OF MAKER'S MARK WHISKEY BARRELS AS SHE GAVE HER "BEST WISHES"!
One might think that it was a nice thing to do, considering if one knows anything about Senator Edward Kennedy, he likes his booze (much as a certain political upstart does, as well), but I consider it a subconscious dig at her fellow senator. If anyone has a screenshot, please send it my way...I need a new wallpaper for my iBook.
Senator Kennedy, I hope to see you in a new man-tailored shirt soon, er ah...

Now...as to the title of my posting today...the article in question is titled, "Obama says Bush falsely accused him of appeasement"
You know...I could rant all day and all night and the rest of the bloody weekend...but instead, I will simply post this:
http://www.thenation.com/blogs/campaignmatters?bid=45&pid=300093comments
"Shillary" Clinton adviser Ann Lewis tacked to the right, criticizing Obama for saying he'd meet with the President of Iran and for suggesting that a US President needn't have to echo the policies of the Likud Party in order to be "pro-Israel." "The role of the president of the United States is to support the decisions that are made by the people of Israel," Lewis said. "It is not up to us to pick and choose from among the political parties."
WTF?!?
I thought that AMERICANS elect the President...and he is beholden to listen to WE THE PEOPLE....silly me...!
Listen...Bush...Clinton...McCain...Pelosi...Bolton...ALL OF YOU.
If you care so bloody much about what goes on in Israel...go run for the Knesset.
THIS IS THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA!
Dammit.
Okay...what's left to rant about? Oh, yes...remember Robert Dziekanski? He was TASERED TO DEATH at an airport. Well, that didn't sit well with people, so the scumbags are off to manufacture some dirt on the poor lad.
Maybe more later...I need libations.

UDDERLY RIDICULOUS! or Are They Trying To MURDER US ALL?!?
...and what's occurring tonight in Indiana.

Feds launch 'Gestapo raid' over raw milk
Rally planned for farmer whose dairy swept by government

A rally has been set for tomorrow in front of the magistrate's office in Mt. Holly, Pa., in support of a Mennonite farmer who has brought the wrath of the government on himself for selling raw milk and other products – an act government prosecutors say violates a number of regulations.
That's when the next court hearing is scheduled for Mark Nolt, a Pennsylvania farmer who turned in his state permit to sell raw milk because it didn't allow for the sale of the other products he offered.
"They swooped in ... like a bunch of Vikings, handcuffed me and stole $30,000 worth of my milk, cheese and butter," he told the New York Daily News.
His case is just an example of what the government is trying to do to those who believe – based on medical results – that raw milk is better for them than the processed milk available in most grocery stores, according to Nolt's supporters.
Processed milk, many believe, leads to clogged arteries, strokes and heart attacks.
According to reports published by the Weston A. Price Foundation, results of a study by the Medical Research Council in the United Kingdom revealed only one percent of the subjects in an ongoing lifestyle study of 5,000 men suffered heart attacks – if they drank full-fat milk and ate butter rather than margarine.
"We learned ... that [the] study collected data on 5,000 British men between the ages of 45 and 59 for a period of 10 years. Of those that drank at least a pint of whole milk a day, only one percent suffered heart attacks!" the foundation report said. "Some researchers are already claiming the difference is due to a healthier lifestyle on the part of the milk and butter consumers. Others, however, think that milk and butter may have some yet undiscovered benefits."
Another article in the British medical journal Lancet also noted that children who consumed "farm milk," that is, raw, whole, unprocessed milk, had lower levels of asthma and hay fever.
"Researchers examined the history of allergy, asthma and 'atopic sensitization' or skin problems in 812 children, 319 of whom had grown up with a 'regular exposure to a farming environment' including the consumption of 'farm milk,' that is, raw, whole, unprocessed milk. The remaining group of 493 non-farming children acted as a control. Frequency of asthma was reduced from 11 percent found in the control group to one percent among the farming-exposed children. Similarly, hay fever occurred in only three percent of the farming-exposed children, compared with 13 percent of the controls, and atopic sensitization occurred in 12 percent of the farming group and in 29 percent of the controls," the foundation reported.
According to a blog report on the Cumberland County case in Pennsylvania, Nolt had been under threat of arrest for months, and authorities came for him on April 25.
Jonas Stoltzfus, a fellow farmer and member of the Church of the Brethren, was asked to be a spokesman for Nolt, and confirmed, "Six state troopers and Bill Chirdon of the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture trespassed onto his property, and stole $20,000-$250,000 of his product and equipment."
Stoltzfus reported Nolt turned in his state permit to sell raw milk "because it did not cover all the products he was selling. he felt he was being dishonest selling stuff that was not covered by the permit."
Stoltzfus said authorities told Nolt people had gotten sick from eating his food, "but no one ever came forward and no proof was ever offered."
"This is a Gestapo raid," Stoltzfus told the blog report, "complete with state troopers, raiding a hard-working farmer selling milk to friends and customers."
The Daily News reported the farmer's customers were enraged.
"My heart is pounding. I can't believe what a G-- d--- police state this is," one Brooklyn customer told the newspaper. "I gave him $100 last week for a huge delivery of stuff, including raw cream that I planned on using to make cream puffs."
Nolt told the newspaper he didn't feel bound by the government's limits on selling milk.
"The government doesn't have the right to dictate what I eat, and never will," he told the paper.
Stoltzfus compared Nolt to "that little black lady in Alabama who wouldn't go to the back of the bus."
"Mark believes it is his right to sell, according to the constitution, just like it was Rosa Park's right to sit wherever she wanted on the bus," he said.
A blogger who operates under the name The Complete Patient reported the government, in the form of the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, had descended on Nolt's 100-acre farm already in 2007.
"Nolt contends that the regulations have not been approved by the legislature and shouldn't apply to him because he is selling directly to consumers, via private contracts that are outside the purview of the state, making a privilege out of a right he believes he has – the right to private contracts," the blogger wrote.
Taaron Meikle, president of the Farm-to-Consumer Legal Defense Fund, said Nolt's case has the highest profile right now because of his arrest and pending court case.
"We have a lot of consumers who are drinking raw milk, because of the health benefits," she told WND. "What is happening is truly upsetting.
"Basically, what's happening is farmers are saying they don't want this raw milk permit because it only applies to milk and hard cheeses, not selling butter or yogurt," she said.
"[The government] says it is trying to protect the consumer, but the reality is that consumers are very well informed. They are not making a decision based on ignorance," she said.
She noted the campaign that has been launched called Real Milk by the Weston A. Price Foundation, providing information about milk, its benefits, and any dangers there are.
She said what consumers need to do is get organized and write letters, becoming activists on the issue if they want to avoid processed milk from cows that are genetically altered or fed genetically altered grains.
A case with some similarities also is going on in California, where federal agents have interrogated employees of Organic Pastures Dairy Co. about its sales of raw milk for pet food.
"FDA has gone on the record as 'hating raw milk' in any form," Mark McAfee, president of Organic Pastures, said. "If Organic Pastures is doing something illegal, all FDA needs to do is come and tell us and we will make the necessary changes to our labels and procedures."
Jody N. told WND that Nolt's customers "are in outrage, because they have private contracts with this farmer and their food was stolen."

Personally, I like my milk from the tap ;)
In regards to the ridiculously high gas prices, read this:
My posting at that site (hopefully, it doesn't disappear...)
There's NO REASON for oil to be at the prices that they currently are, with the exception of three things:
1. Gaming the system - oil is produced abiotically...or do you still think that they were made from dinosaur carcasses (fossil fuels)? Hahahaha...do a search for Eugene Island + oil. Thomas Gold was not the originator of this idea...
2. The government (our current administration...and you are in COMPLETE DENIAL IF YOU DOUBT THIS AT ALL) is in bed with the oil companies. If our cars were getting the 100-200 MPG that they should (I have seen the patent for the 200 MPG carburetor [http://www.newmediaexplorer.org/sepp/2003/06/07/original_blueprints_for_200_mpg_carburetor_found_in_england.htm]), the need for alternative energies wouldn't be such a big deal...but look at the MPG standards...I believe that they HAVEN'T CHANGED SINCE THE SEVENTIES! That's how many years that our cars have gotten the same, and oftimes LESS, mileage per gallon? Don't be a tool...
3. The unconditional support of Israel - despite the U.N. sanctions that they have flouted; despite the inhumane conditions to which the denizens of Gaza are subjected; despite the fact that Israel have now admitted more than once to having nuclear weapons...weapons which were obtained through SPYING; we take their side in any and all disagreements, in regards to the U.N. - this has to STOP. They have their own defences; they have a surplus economy; and they seems to have our entire (s)ELECTED GOVERNMENT BY THE BALLS (or lack of)!
It's time to lime the leech.
Reposting from a MySpace Bulletin:
This is a video I found of an Irish TV interview with pResident Bush. I later found out that this interview was not shown on American television because it was banned! Why you ask, take a look and see...
On the fifth anniversary of pResident George W. Bush's invasion of Iraq, pResident Bush said he has no doubts about waging the unpopular war despite the "high cost in lives and treasure.
"
Vice pResident Dick Cheney had a different message.
Informed during a Good Morning America interview broadcast Wednesday that two-thirds of Americans now think the war was not worth fighting, Cheney said: "So?"
"So you don't care what the American people think?", ABC's Martha Raddatz asked.
If you say that getting rid of our dependence on oil in the Middle East will avoid war and conflict there and get our current troops out, then what was the Iraq war about again, McCain? But he also advocates war for 100 years! WHERE DOES HE STAND?!?
Do you really know the truth?
Or will you continue to be a mindless TV Zombie like they (the so-called "elite") want?

We are fighting a "war" on two fronts

Nev. GOP recesses state convention, angering Paul supporters
RENO, Nev. (AP) — Outmaneuvered by raucous Ron Paul supporters, Nevada Republican Party leaders abruptly shut down their state convention and now must resume the event to complete a list of 31 delegates to the GOP national convention.
Outnumbered supporters of expected Republican presidential nominee John McCain faced off Saturday against well-organized Paul supporters. A large share of the more than 1,300 state convention delegates enabled Paul supporters to get a rule change positioning them for more national convention delegate slots than expected.
"I've seen factions walk out. I've never seen a party walk out," said Jeff Greenspan, regional coordinator for the Paul campaign.
Delegates cheered earlier in the day as former presidential hopeful Mitt Romney urged support for McCain. Later, though, Paul got even louder applause as he delivered his message of individual freedom and fiscal responsibility.
State Sen. Bob Beers, the convention chairman, was booed loudly as he called for a recess Saturday evening. He said that the party's rental contract for a big meeting room at a Reno hotel-casino had expired and there was too much work left to complete.
State GOP Chairwoman Sue Lowden said the rules change wasn't anticipated. She denied any anti-Paul bias, saying expected slates of national delegates were prepared through a fair and open process by the convention's nominations committee and the party thought the convention would accept them.
Video from Reno
So...that's one front with which WE THE PEOPLE are confronted. We are in the midst of the most fraudulent election I have EVER seen.
Found this on DesertPeace's Blog: watch death ‘Live on camera…’
This is the other front.
We have a number of individuals who have dual-citizenship, but mete out policies detrimental to the United States of America.
NO MAN CAN SERVE TWO MASTERS.
Either you're an AMERICAN, or you're an intruder, and we should shine the floodlights upon you and watch you scurry like the vermin that you are.
Jonathan Pollard is a piece of human garbage.
Ben-Ami Kadish is a piece of human garbage.
Ariel Weinmannn is a piece of human garbage
Steven Rosen and Keith Weissman are pieces of human garbage.
Lewis "Scooter" Libby might be one of the BIGGEST PIECES OF HUMAN GARBAGE walking around free today - you only have your enabler, pResident George "The Monkey King" Walker Bush, to thank for that.
Hey, asshats...you know that you've committed TREASON against the United States of America, and all of the citizens herein, right?
It matters NOT what your intentions were. This is the United States of America, not fucking ISRAEL.
The so-called "elite" of the world have control of over 90% of the wealth of the world. The rest of the world seems to be able to function with the less than 10% of wealth available.
How's this for a scenario: since it's only ever by a smattering of funds that things are fated not to work in our society for the betterment of all, why not MAKE IT HAPPEN?!?!
How's that for a novel idea?
No more food shortages!
No more homelessness!
No more stupid-ass wars of conquest!
I mean, you'll still have your monies, right?
Oh...I forgot...you're trying to reduce the population by 80-90%. That's contrary to pretty much EVERYTHING I've mentioned.
Oh, dear.
Listen, idiots. None of your eugenics programs will work. Here's why:
We are all the same - we are all HUMAN. I was actually watching CNN last night, and I caught the tail end of Reverend Jeremiah Wright's new speech. he went on about the differences between how Black Americans think and speak with regard to how non-Black Americans think and speak. Now, I'm not wholly convinced, because I see a lot of crossover betwixt the two populations (I, myself, have never suffered from the "slave mentality" that I see in most people).
Here - let's hear what he had to say at the NAACP conference in Detroit, Michigan:
Click within the video to see the whole shebang.
It would be nice if the stupid "elite" would leave us out of their dopey-ass War of the Roses, but no...what fun is amassed riches and obscene wealth, unless you have plebians to show off to?
We are not impressed.
So...why don't you tools go buy yourselves an island, and leave the rest of us to live on this Earth?
Go on...GET OUTTA HERE!

Disappointment
I have close personal friends that are law enforcement officers, so don't think I'm on some anti-cop rant - but as I mentioned before, the whole reason that was proferred to the public for their suspeting the trio had a gun, was that they were threatened by an "unknown individual" who threatened the trio with violence, prompting them to retrieve a gun that did not exist...at least, not at the scene.
As I indicated before...WHERE IS THE INTERROGATION OF SAID "UNKNOWN INDIVIDUAL"?
If the report does not exist, then NEITHER DOES THE "UNKNOWN INDIVIDUAL".
I posit that this case was thrown, in order for riots to ensue, thereby giving a reason to enact MARTIAL LAW.
Too bad, scumbags...
Okay...a few more rants:
PEAK OIL is a HOAX; oil is produced ABIOTICALLY...or else you believe that there must have been dinosaurs on MARS, now that evidence of oil has been found.
GLOBAL WARMING...or, excuse me, CLIMATE CHANGE, is another bunch of hooey. Albert Gore, after throwing the eletion in 2000, should have the credibility of, hey, let's say, George Walker Bush, the Monkey King, the nitwit who stole two elections; the first with the help of his brother, Jeb, and Katherine "Tammy Faye the Second" Harris; the second with the assistance of Ken "Uncle Tom" Blackwell.

America's "war OF terror", 'al-qaeda', the CIA and the truth we refuse to see
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I think there are some major misperceptions taking place in the world today. We really ought to be looking into the truth of the information rather than explicitly trusting politicians that are bought and paid for by their constituency, which is largely the same individuals that profit most from the continuation of war and foreign policy that is abrasive and caustic to long term goals of peace and cultural exchange in the societies of the world.
The information I am introducing is the result of painstaking research and dissecting disinformation and propaganda. When a government official makes a statement it should never be taken for granted that the individual has our best interests in mind or that he is going to be straightforward and forthcoming about the information he offers. As people that lay claim to 'the greatest democracy in the world' it ought to be an inherent trait to disprove and remove those men that deliberately decieve and cause harm to the 'democratic' underpinnings that have been handed down to us through our founding fathers. The opposite has become the norm.
This 'war OF terror' being waged by the militarist elements of the United States government (in proxy) on various countries around the world is a farce. It is a lie and construction of men that love money, especially the money war produces. It is the most lucrative market in human history. Let's look at some of the demographics first.
So far at least $500 BILLION dollars have been spent on the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq. These figures do not take into consideration the operations in Sudan, Pakistan, South Africa and other low key areas. $500 BILLION DOLLARS. That figures out to $275 MILLION DOLLARS A DAY 365 DAYS A YEAR FOR 5 YEARS! Can you even grasp the idiocy of that amount or the loss it represents? Figures released today put the number of 'al-qaeda' in Iraq between 2,000 to 6,000 members. That puts the spending per capita between $45,800 to as much as $137,500 DAILY! We are paying out $10,000 more than a teacher's annual salary daily to fight an imaginary enemy at the low end of the figure. The money represented here is just a fraction of what is actually spent. The budgets of other 'security' and clandestine operations groups such as Blackwater and Dyncorp are kept secret and are not even accounted for by our politicians so we can't even see the real figures.
Now let's look at the Iraqi deaths. Right now the conservative figure of 700,000 is offered. That figures out to 400 people PER DAY 365 DAYS A YEAR FOR FIVE YEARS! And this is 'acceptable' collatral damage? considering Saddam had NO WMD'S, he posed no threat to America, he WAS NOT seeking nuclear fissile material. 400 people per day are being slaughtered because of lies, distortions, and greed. What we are seeing is American energy policy in action, but it's more than that. Information for these statistics was drawn from here and here. If it is possible for God to weep I imagine we should be inundated any moment.
If we are going to get a right perspective about our nation's current conundrum we need to go back to the fall of Russia. Russia was fractured in the late 70's, early 80's in order to maximize the potential for petroleum extraction, and you were taught that it was all about the fall of 'communism'. How grossly naive. I have always wondered why, if communism was such a threat to America, didn't it enter into WWII on the side of Germany because it was Hitler not England that was fighting the spread of communism in Europe. Perhaps because it was NEVER about communism anyway. Back to the present. In the late 70's America was recruiting Muslims to fight against Russia to further its dissolution. When the states began to peel away from Russia they were areas around the Caspian Sea which had access to large reserves of petroleum. They were replaced by 'democracies' loyal to America petroleum companies just as was the case in petroleum extraction in South America. To this day an office of Baker Botts is located in Azerbaijan and deals exclusively with petroleum production legalities, where James Baker(ex-Chief of Staff, Sec of the Treasury, & Sec of State) sits on the Honorary Council of Advisors. He also served on the board of the Carlyle Group which is the largest military defense industries holder on the face of the earth and a member of the Council on Foreign Relations. Azerbaijan happens to be where one of the pipelines originated from on the west side of the Caspian Sea. A documentary called 'Extreme Oil' (circa 2004 via PBS) confronts a great deal of the actions of our government in foreign countries where petroleum is a prized resource. It also reveals the consequences of 'American intervention' by using military troops in the dual role of "training foreign troops and protecting the petroleum pipelines". THAT is what American troops are doing in Iraq right now. That and keeping the next progression into Iran near simmering.
The United States CIA is using 'al-qaeda' the same way they used the Contras in the 80's. The CIA from its earliest days has been used to import drugs into America and use those profits to further fund their clandestine operations. CIA DRUG LINK TRILLIONS of American taxpayer's dollars are spent each year supporting 'foreign policy' that is hazardous to other countries of the world and detrimental to the development of true democracies. Quite to the contrary American militarism has been single handedly the greatest threat to true representative democratic societies for the last 100 years. Here is one of the most revelatory films made in recent history that exposes the lie of 'al-qaeda' and the CIA's involvement with even its base structure. One of the important things that should be drawn from this film is that radical Islamists realized the failure of 'radical Islam' to incite the masses, therefore the proponents of the radical ideologies carried out are operating under the premise that it has become acceptable, which it still hasn't. The series called,"The Power of Nightmares" (produced by the BBC) explains a great deal about the tools and methods of the people that are the greatest threats to America and the world.
When you begin to understand the events and their importance you begin to see that Sept. 11, 2001 wasn't an 'attack on our freedoms' but an escalation of policy already in place. You might think that because you believe in America the 'feelings' are reciprocal. It couldn't be further from the truth. There is another 'event' not far down the road that will be used to solidify American 'resolve'(read imperialism) into hatred which will lead to its invasion of Iran.
Bad news #1
Bad news #2
Now this might not seem like the 'issue' it really is on the surface but there really is more to it. You see the recent article in Esquire magazine that covers the admiral's resignation was written by a very interesting figure. The author of the article was a Thomas P. Barnett. Mr. Barnett is a consultant and strategic planner for national security affairs, so what is he doing writing an article about the demise of a admiral that was heralded as the last great firewall preventing an attack on Iran? Well, Mr Barnett has harbored some obliquely fascist ideologies in a presentation he used to tour America on called, "Life After DoDth or: How the Evernet Changes Everything". He has authored a couple of rather interesting books while doing all of this 'consulting' 'strategic planning' 'stuff'. "The Pentagon's New Map-A Future Worth Creating" and "The Pentagon's New Map- War and Peace in the 21st Century" paint a clear picture of a governmental department transforming the militaristic outposts of the American Empire into training grounds for 'boots on the ground' in a global 'police force' using every technological advantage to ensure the protection of resources and power. Enter the National Applications Office and other erosions of America's right to privacy and sound leadership. If that doesn't sound like a 'terrorist training camp' I don't know what does. Mr. Barnett seems almost apologetic in his recent blog entry concerning the 'image' his article presented. It seems he is hesitant as to the sense of alarm he has created but I have to wonder if he was not genuinely aware of it while writing the material he has for so long embraced. The next step is going to drag America further into a war OF terror that it has created itself in order to justify Empire.
IF we as Americans chooses to remain ignorant and blind to the truth it will have severe detrimental effects on mankind as well as the continuity of our own civilization.
Quote:
"If, in the dying light of the Bush administration, we go to war with Iran, it'll all come down to one man. If we do not go to war with Iran, it'll come down to the same man. He is that rarest of creatures in the Bush universe: the good cop on Iran, and a man of strategic brilliance."
It's no longer "if" but a matter of when. Before the end of the year?
Time is running out.

Hey - I'm back! I'm almost finished reading The Zebra-Striped Hearse, by Ross McDonald. I've also have been watching The Big Tease, starring Craig Ferguson - I can't stop watching it!
I think a "Hello, 'Frisco!" may be in order. What the heck...I don't care what you do in you personal life...as long as it doesn't affect anyone else adversely.
That's the problem I have with hypocrites like Senators Larry Craig and Joey DiFatta - YOU GUYS ARE FAGS!
Be honest...you guys love grabbing a nice, hard hog whenever you can. I don't know a single one of my pals who thinks that they could hang out in a bathroom stall, grab some hog, and then protest that they aren't ghey?
I'd slap the reality into 'em real quick.
I'll end with a Secret Invasion discussion:

Debunking the 9/11 Liars!
From the moment the first airplane crashed into the World Trade Center on the morning of September 11, 2001, the world has asked one simple and compelling question: How could it happen?
Three and a half years later, not everyone is convinced we know the truth. Go to Google.com, type in the search phrase "World Trade Center conspiracy" and you'll get links to an estimated 628,000 Web sites. More than 3000 books on 9/11 have been published; many of them reject the official consensus that hijackers associated with Osama bin Laden and Al Qaeda flew passenger planes into U.S. landmarks.
Healthy skepticism, it seems, has curdled into paranoia. Wild conspiracy tales are peddled daily on the Internet, talk radio and in other media. Blurry photos, quotes taken out of context and sketchy eyewitness accounts have inspired a slew of elaborate theories: The Pentagon was struck by a missile; the World Trade Center was razed by demolition-style bombs; Flight 93 was shot down by a mysterious white jet. As outlandish as these claims may sound, they are increasingly accepted abroad and among extremists here in the United States.
To investigate 16 of the most prevalent claims made by conspiracy theorists, POPULAR MECHANICS assembled a team of nine researchers and reporters who, together with PM editors, consulted more than 70 professionals in fields that form the core content of this magazine, including aviation, engineering and the military.
In the end, we were able to debunk each of these assertions with hard evidence and a healthy dose of common sense. We learned that a few theories are based on something as innocent as a reporting error on that chaotic day. Others are the byproducts of cynical imaginations that aim to inject suspicion and animosity into public debate. Only by confronting such poisonous claims with irrefutable facts can we understand what really happened on a day that is forever seared into world history.
The Planes
The widely accepted account that hijackers commandeered and crashed the four 9/11 planes is supported by reams of evidence, from cockpit recordings to forensics to the fact that crews and passengers never returned home. Nonetheless, conspiracy theorists seize on a handful of "facts" to argue a very different scenario: The jets that struck New York and Washington, D.C., weren't commercial planes, they say, but something else, perhaps refueling tankers or guided missiles. And the lack of military intervention? Theorists claim it proves the U.S. government instigated the assault or allowed it to occur in order to advance oil interests or a war agenda.
hf: Should I really believe that some Muslim organization called their base of followers "The Base"? It defies logic...or should we believe the newer translation,"The Toilet"?
Where's The Pod?
Claim: Photographs and video footage shot just before United Airlines Flight 175 hit the South Tower of the World Trade Center (WTC) show an object underneath the fuselage at the base of the right wing. The film "911 In Plane Site" and the Web site LetsRoll911.org claim that no such object is found on a stock Boeing 767. They speculate that this "military pod" is a missile, a bomb or a piece of equipment on an air-refueling tanker. LetsRoll911.org points to this as evidence that the attacks were an "inside job" sanctioned by "President George Bush, who planned and engineered 9/11."
FACT: One of the clearest, most widely seen pictures of the doomed jet's undercarriage was taken by photographer Rob Howard and published in New York magazine and elsewhere (opening page). PM sent a digital scan of the original photo to Ronald Greeley, director of the Space Photography Laboratory at Arizona State University. Greeley is an expert at analyzing images to determine the shape and features of geological formations based on shadow and light effects. After studying the high-resolution image and comparing it to photos of a Boeing 767-200ER's undercarriage, Greeley dismissed the notion that the Howard photo reveals a "pod." In fact, the photo reveals only the Boeing's right fairing, a pronounced bulge that contains the landing gear. He concludes that sunlight glinting off the fairing gave it an exaggerated look. "Such a glint causes a blossoming (enlargement) on film," he writes in an e-mail to PM, "which tends to be amplified in digital versions of images — the pixels are saturated and tend to 'spill over' to adjacent pixels." When asked about pods attached to civilian aircraft, Fred E. Culick, professor of aeronautics at the California Institute of Technology, gave a blunter response: "That's bull. They're really stretching."
hf: I will not address the stupid pod story – this is the straw man argument – set up a dumb theory that's easy to knock down, and mix it in with legitimate research…wow, how stupid are these guys to give any credence to this dumb pod stuff? None of what they say must be true.
No Stand-Down Order
Claim: No fighter jets were scrambled from any of the 28 Air Force bases within close range of the four hijacked flights. "On 11 September Andrews had two squadrons of fighter jets with the job of protecting the skies over Washington D.C.," says the Web site emperors-clothes.com. "They failed to do their job." "There is only one explanation for this," writes Mark R. Elsis of StandDown.net. "Our Air Force was ordered to Stand Down on 9/11."
FACT: On 9/11 there were only 14 fighter jets on alert in the contiguous 48 states. No computer network or alarm automatically alerted the North American Air Defense Command (NORAD) of missing planes. "They [civilian Air Traffic Control, or ATC] had to pick up the phone and literally dial us," says Maj. Douglas Martin, public affairs officer for NORAD. Boston Center, one of 22 Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regional ATC facilities, called NORAD's Northeast Air Defense Sector (NEADS) three times: at 8:37 am EST to inform NEADS that Flight 11 was hijacked; at 9:21 am to inform the agency, mistakenly, that Flight 11 was headed for Washington (the plane had hit the North Tower 35 minutes earlier); and at 9:41 am to (erroneously) identify Delta Air Lines Flight 1989 from Boston as a possible hijacking. The New York ATC called NEADS at 9:03 am to report that United Flight 175 had been hijacked — the same time the plane slammed into the South Tower. Within minutes of that first call from Boston Center, NEADS scrambled two F-15s from Otis Air Force Base in Falmouth, Mass., and three F-16s from Langley Air National Guard Base in Hampton, Va. None of the fighters got anywhere near the pirated planes.
Why couldn't ATC find the hijacked flights? When the hijackers turned off the planes' transponders, which broadcast identifying signals, ATC had to search 4500 identical radar blips crisscrossing some of the country's busiest air corridors. And NORAD's sophisticated radar? It ringed the continent, looking outward for threats, not inward. "It was like a doughnut," Martin says. "There was no coverage in the middle." Pre-9/11, flights originating in the States were not seen as threats and NORAD wasn't prepared to track them.
hf: HAHAHAHA – okay…we have, instead of airplanes being used as missiles, REAL FRICKIN' MISSILES coursing their way through our airspace to various landmarks and edifices. You're telling me that you accept the fact that NO ONE IN CHARGE OF PROTECTING THIS COUNTRY COULD FIND AIRPLANES IN THE SKY? WE SPENT HOW MUCH ON THAT STUPID SDI? They are simply admitting after the fact that we spent monies on absolutely useless defense initiatives – missiles don't come with transponders. Fucking jackasses. And, let's address this point: Why couldn't ATC find the hijacked flights? When the hijackers turned off the planes' transponders, which broadcast identifying signals, ATC had to search 4500 identical radar blips crisscrossing some of the country's busiest air corridors. And NORAD's sophisticated radar? It ringed the continent, looking outward for threats, not inward. "It was like a doughnut," Martin says. "There was no coverage in the middle." Pre-9/11, flights originating in the States were not seen as threats and NORAD wasn't prepared to track them. –
Flight 175's Windows
Claim: On Sept. 11, FOX News broadcast a live phone interview with FOX employee Marc Birnbach. 911inplanesite.com states that "Bernback" saw the plane "crash into the South Tower." "It definitely did not look like a commercial plane," Birnbach said on air. "I didn't see any windows on the sides."
Coupled with photographs and videos of Flight 175 that lack the resolution to show windows, Birnbach's statement has fueled one of the most widely referenced 9/11 conspiracy theories — specifically, that the South Tower was struck by a military cargo plane or a fuel tanker.
Flight 175 fuselage windows at World Trade Center Ground Zero wreckage
Plain View: Passenger windows on a piece of Flight 175's fuselage. (Photograph by William F. Baker/FEMA)
FACT: Birnbach, who was a freelance videographer with FOX News at the time, tells PM that he was more than 2 miles southeast of the WTC, in Brooklyn, when he briefly saw a plane fly over. He says that, in fact, he did not see the plane strike the South Tower; he says he only heard the explosion.
While heading a Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) probe into the collapse of the towers, W. Gene Corley studied the airplane wreckage. A licensed structural engineer with Construction Technology Laboratories, a consulting firm based in Skokie, Ill., Corley and his team photographed aircraft debris on the roof of WTC 5, including a chunk of fuselage that clearly had passenger windows. "It's ... from the United Airlines plane that hit Tower 2," Corley states flatly. In reviewing crash footage taken by an ABC news crew, Corley was able to track the trajectory of the fragments he studied — including a section of the landing gear and part of an engine — as they tore through the South Tower, exited from the building's north side and fell from the sky.
hf:
Intercepts Not Routine
Claim: "It has been standard operating procedures for decades to immediately intercept off-course planes that do not respond to communications from air traffic controllers," says the Web site oilempire.us. "When the Air Force 'scrambles' a fighter plane to intercept, they usually reach the plane in question in minutes."
FACT: In the decade before 9/11, NORAD intercepted only one civilian plane over North America: golfer Payne Stewart's Learjet, in October 1999. With passengers and crew unconscious from cabin decompression, the plane lost radio contact but remained in transponder contact until it crashed. Even so, it took an F-16 1 hour and 22 minutes to reach the stricken jet. Rules in effect back then, and on 9/11, prohibited supersonic flight on intercepts. Prior to 9/11, all other NORAD interceptions were limited to offshore Air Defense Identification Zones (ADIZ). "Until 9/11 there was no domestic ADIZ," FAA spokesman Bill Schumann tells PM. After 9/11, NORAD and the FAA increased cooperation, setting up hotlines between ATCs and NORAD command centers, according to officials from both agencies. NORAD has also increased its fighter coverage and has installed radar to monitor airspace over the continent.
hf: All I'll state here is that VP Cheney admitted to a stand-down when he was discussing the approach of Flight 175 with some lower-level officer – he announced the nearness of the flight is various stages, and then asked if the nebulous "orders" still stand – Cheney growled back,"Of course they stand – have you heard anything to the contrary?" Well, since we aren't privy to the exact order, and we know that nothing was done to deflect the aircraft from impacting upon the Pentagon, we can be free to speculate (and I admit I haven't anything concrete besides the fact that the impact OCCURRED UPON THE NERVE CENTER OF OUR NATION'S DEFENSE) that the "order" has something to do with NOT RESPONDING TO THE IMMINENT EVENT.
The World Trade Center
The collapse of both World Trade Center towers — and the smaller WTC 7 a few hours later — initially surprised even some experts. But subsequent studies have shown that the WTC's structural integrity was destroyed by intense fire as well as the severe damage inflicted by the planes. That explanation hasn't swayed conspiracy theorists, who contend that all three buildings were wired with explosives in advance and razed in a series of controlled demolitions.
Widespread Damage
Claim: The first hijacked plane crashed through the 94th to the 98th floors of the World Trade Center's 110-story North Tower; the second jet slammed into the 78th to the 84th floors of the 110-story South Tower. The impact and ensuing fires disrupted elevator service in both buildings. Plus, the lobbies of both buildings were visibly damaged before the towers collapsed. "There is NO WAY the impact of the jet caused such widespread damage 80 stories below," claims a posting on the San Diego Independent Media Center Web site (sandiego.indymedia.org). "It is OBVIOUS and irrefutable that OTHER EXPLOSIVES (... such as concussion bombs) HAD ALREADY BEEN DETONATED in the lower levels of tower one at the same time as the plane crash."
FACT: Following up on a May 2002 preliminary report by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), a major study will be released in spring 2005 by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), a branch of the U.S. Department of Commerce. NIST shared its initial findings with PM and made its lead researcher available to our team of reporters.
The NIST investigation revealed that plane debris sliced through the utility shafts at the North Tower's core, creating a conduit for burning jet fuel — and fiery destruction throughout the building. "It's very hard to document where the fuel went," says Forman Williams, a NIST adviser and a combustion expert, "but if it's atomized and combustible and gets to an ignition source, it'll go off."
Burning fuel traveling down the elevator shafts would have disrupted the elevator systems and caused extensive damage to the lobbies. NIST heard first-person testimony that "some elevators slammed right down" to the ground floor. "The doors cracked open on the lobby floor and flames came out and people died," says James Quintiere, an engineering professor at the University of Maryland and a NIST adviser. A similar observation was made in the French documentary "9/11," by Jules and Gedeon Naudet. As Jules Naudet entered the North Tower lobby, minutes after the first aircraft struck, he saw victims on fire, a scene he found too horrific to film.
"Melted" Steel
Claim: "We have been lied to," announces the Web site AttackOnAmerica.net. "The first lie was that the load of fuel from the aircraft was the cause of structural failure. No kerosene fire can burn hot enough to melt steel." The posting is entitled "Proof Of Controlled Demolition At The WTC."
FACT: Jet fuel burns at 800° to 1500°F, not hot enough to melt steel (2750°F). However, experts agree that for the towers to collapse, their steel frames didn't need to melt, they just had to lose some of their structural strength — and that required exposure to much less heat. "I have never seen melted steel in a building fire," says retired New York deputy fire chief Vincent Dunn, author of The Collapse Of Burning Buildings: A Guide To Fireground Safety. "But I've seen a lot of twisted, warped, bent and sagging steel. What happens is that the steel tries to expand at both ends, but when it can no longer expand, it sags and the surrounding concrete cracks."
"Steel loses about 50 percent of its strength at 1100°F," notes senior engineer Farid Alfawak-hiri of the American Institute of Steel Construction. "And at 1800° it is probably at less than 10 percent." NIST also believes that a great deal of the spray-on fireproofing insulation was likely knocked off the steel beams that were in the path of the crashing jets, leaving the metal more vulnerable to the heat.
But jet fuel wasn't the only thing burning, notes Forman Williams, a professor of engineering at the University of California, San Diego, and one of seven structural engineers and fire experts that PM consulted. He says that while the jet fuel was the catalyst for the WTC fires, the resulting inferno was intensified by the combustible material inside the buildings, including rugs, curtains, furniture and paper. NIST reports that pockets of fire hit 1832°F.
"The jet fuel was the ignition source," Williams tells PM. "It burned for maybe 10 minutes, and [the towers] were still standing in 10 minutes. It was the rest of the stuff burning afterward that was responsible for the heat transfer that eventually brought them down."
hf: Is it really so far-fetched to take into account that many of the so-called "experts" would lose their sources of funding were they not to go along with the "accepted" story? I submit that the "experts" are compromised. Let's visit the case of Van Romero:

Emperor's Clothes has not commented on the debate over the collapse of the World Trade Center (WTC) towers.
Some argue that the towers were brought down by explosives. Others (including defenders of the official story on 9-11) insist that the towers collapsed because fire weakened the steel support structure.
On September 14th we did post an interesting article from the Albuquerque Journal concerning the WTC towers.
It is based on an interview with Van Romero, the director of research at the New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology.
According to the article, Mr. Romero:
'studies explosive materials and the effects of explosions on buildings, aircraft and other structures.'
His Institute:
'assists in forensic investigations into terrorist attacks, often by setting off similar explosions and studying the effects.'
The Institute is funded, at least in part, by grants from the Pentagon.
Van Romero reported that he had studied the videos of the WTC collapse and concluded that the towers were most likely destroyed by carefully placed demolition charges. He told the 'Journal':
"It would be difficult for something from the plane to trigger an event like that."
FROM EXPERT OPINION TO 'SUPPORT' STATEMENT
We posted the Journal story with a link to its Web address. But when you go that address, you don't see the original story. You see a rebuttal, entitled, "Fire, Not Extra Explosives,
It's a rebuttal to the original story. Unless you read almost to end of the rebuttal, you won't see that the original story is posted below it. Very odd.
Here's the address:
http://www.abqjournal.com/aqvan09-11-01.htm
The original article and the rebuttal have a very different 'feel.'
Reading the original article, it is clear that Romero is motivated by a desire to understand what happened. This is not surprising; after all he studies how buildings collapse. He isn't thinking about political implications; he's thinking about science. He doesn't have an axe to grind. He explains himself clearly and he is quoted frequently.
In the retraction, Romero is only quoted twice. Instead of letting the man speak for himself, the reporter keeps repeating the official explanation of why the WTC buildings collapsed, informing us that Romero accepts it.
And regarding that word, "supports," doesn't it suggest a political rather than a scientific act? Consider:
"Romero [now] *supports* other experts, who have said the intense heat of the jet fuel fires weakened the skyscrapers' steel structural beams to the point that they gave way under the weight of the floors above.
Why didn't the Journal let this researcher, who "assists in forensic investigations into terrorist attacks," explain for himself what new information caused him to change his expert opinion?
What did he learn between 9-11 and 9-21, the date of the retraction, from "conversations with structural engineers"?
How could someone who has spent years researching "explosive materials and the effects of explosions on buildings, aircraft and other structures" not know about the steel beams in the WTC?
Or has Mr. Romero confined his research to older buildings, i.e., those constructed prior to 1972? Before agreeing to do forensic work on a building blown up by terrorists, does he ask, "When was it built?" And if the answer is, "After 1972," does he turn down the investigation?
In the retraction, Romero is quoted twice:
The first quote is short: "Certainly the fire is what caused the building to fail."
"Certainly"?!
Why would an experimental scientist, commenting on anyone's previous conclusion - in this case, his own - demean the original assessment as "certainly" wrong?
Wouldn't that mean Romero "certainly" assessed this most important terrorist attack without first getting the facts? Doesn't that make Romero a sloppy scientist?
How humiliating for a man who acts as an expert witness in courts of law.
And consider the second quote:
Second quote: "Romero said he has been bombarded with electronic mail from the conspiracy theorists. 'I'm very upset about that,' he said. 'I'm not trying to say anything did or didn't happen.'" [End quote]
Note that the Journal dismisses those who doubt the official story as "conspiracy theorists." This newspaper has become a public relations service for
He's not?
But in the original piece, he was quoted saying the WTC most likely collapsed due to demolition charges. And in the retraction he is quoted saying he "certainly" was wrong.
Moreover, isn;t deciding whether "anything did or didn't happen" the goal of all of Romero's research. He "studies explosive materials and the effects of explosions on buildings, aircraft and other structures" in order to determine what "did or didn't happen."
It seems that in both quotes Van Romero negates himself, first as incompetent, then as irrelevant. Or perhaps his second comment, that "I'm not trying to say anything did or didn't happen," may be seen in a different light. We shall return to that.
Why did Mr. Romero recant? Consider the following paragraph from the original story:
"Romero said he and another Tech administrator were on a Washington-area subway when an airplane struck the Pentagon. He said he and Denny Peterson, vice president for administration and finance, were en route to an office building near the Pentagon to discuss defense-funded research programs at Tech. [New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology, where Romero is Vice President for research.]"
Here is our hypothesis.
Romero gave the original interview right after the WTC attacks. He said what he thought, unaware he was stepping on a land mine.
But the powers-that-be were aware.
The paymaster of Romero's research institute is the Pentagon. Directly or indirectly, pressure was brought to bear, forcing Romero to retract his original statement. But perhaps expressing his exasperation with this pressure, he added, "I'm not trying to say anything about what did or did not happen." In this way, perhaps, he refused to recant entirely.
If our hypothesis is right, it illustrates three features of the new American Empire.
First: it has great wealth, which it wields shamelessly. (And often to ludicrous effect. Consider the hyperbole with which the Bush administration praised Pakistan for 'cooperating' in crushing the Taliban, which is, by the way, the collective child of the covert services of Pakistan, the U.S. and Saudi Arabia. And consider how - immediately afterwards! - the Bush administration announced that
So the first fact about the
Second: from the virtuous it demands servility. If the virtuous should err, so must the virtuous grovel. Otherwise, no cash.
Third: despite all its weapons and money, the U.S. Empire still has difficulty getting human beings to grovel. Thus, it may have been in order to hold onto some integrity that Van Romero said, "I'm not trying to say anything about what did or did not happen." The man relies on the Pentagon for funding; yet perhaps the man resists.
In an email to Emperor's clothes, Joan T., a reader, wrote: "What good is money without freedom?"
What good indeed.

Romero said he and another Tech administrator were on a Washington-area subway when an airplane struck the Pentagon.
He said he and Denny Peterson, vice president for administration and finance, were en route to an office building near the Pentagon to discuss defense-funded research programs at Tech.
If explosions did cause the towers to collapse, the detonations could have been caused by a small amount of explosive, he said.
"It could have been a relatively small amount of explosives placed in strategic points," Romero said. The explosives likely would have been put in more than two points in each of the towers, he said.
The detonation of bombs within the towers is consistent with a common terrorist strategy, Romero said.
"One of the things terrorist events are noted for is a diversionary attack and secondary device," Romero said.
Attackers detonate an initial, diversionary explosion that attracts emergency personnel to the scene, then detonate a second explosion, he said.
Romero said that if his scenario is correct, the diversionary attack would have been the collision of the planes into the towers.
Tech President Dan Lopez said Tuesday that Tech had not been asked to take part in the investigation into the attacks. Tech often assists in forensic investigations into terrorist attacks, often by setting off similar explosions and studying the effects.

VIOLENT COLLAPSE: Pancaking floors--not controlled demolition--expel debris and smoke out
Puffs Of Dust
Claim: As each tower collapsed, clearly visible puffs of dust and debris were ejected from the sides of the buildings. An advertisement in The New York Times for the book Painful Questions: An Analysis Of The September 11th Attack made this claim: "The concrete clouds shooting out of the buildings are not possible from a mere collapse. They do occur from explosions." Numerous conspiracy theorists cite Van Romero, an explosives expert and vice president of the New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology, who was quoted on 9/11 by the Albuquerque Journal as saying "there were some explosive devices inside the buildings that caused the towers to collapse." The article continues, "Romero said the collapse of the structures resembled those of controlled implosions used to demolish old structures."
Violent Collapse: Pancaking floors — not controlled demolition — expel debris and smoke out South Tower windows. (Photograph by AP/Wide World Photos)
FACT: Once each tower began to collapse, the weight of all the floors above the collapsed zone bore down with pulverizing force on the highest intact floor. Unable to absorb the massive energy, that floor would fail, transmitting the forces to the floor below, allowing the collapse to progress downward through the building in a chain reaction. Engineers call the process "pancaking," and it does not require an explosion to begin, according to David Biggs, a structural engineer at Ryan-Biggs Associates and a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) team that worked on the FEMA report.
Like all office buildings, the WTC towers contained a huge volume of air. As they pancaked, all that air — along with the concrete and other debris pulverized by the force of the collapse — was ejected with enormous energy. "When you have a significant portion of a floor collapsing, it's going to shoot air and concrete dust out the window," NIST lead investigator Shyam Sunder tells PM. Those clouds of dust may create the impression of a controlled demolition, Sunder adds, "but it is the floor pancaking that leads to that perception."
Demolition expert Romero regrets that his comments to the Albuquerque Journal became fodder for conspiracy theorists. "I was misquoted in saying that I thought it was explosives that brought down the building," he tells PM. "I only said that that's what it looked like."
Romero, who agrees with the scientific conclusion that fire triggered the collapses, demanded a retraction from the Journal. It was printed Sept. 22, 2001. "I felt like my scientific reputation was on the line." But emperors-clothes.com saw something else: "The paymaster of Romero's research institute is the Pentagon. Directly or indirectly, pressure was brought to bear, forcing Romero to retract his original statement." Romero responds: "Conspiracy theorists came out saying that the government got to me. That is the farthest thing from the truth. This has been an albatross around my neck for three years."
hf: Three words – gravitational constant and freefall. It's impossible (and I don't even wish to hear of the construction of the building accounting for that – this assumes that the constant hurricane force winds experienced by the buildings, since the Earth spins on its axis at a rate of 40,000 miles per hour, wasn't enough to crumble the supports, but a single impact from a plane and 45 minutes of mostly-burned off jet fuel could! It strains credulity!) for those buildings to have collapsed in the 12-15 seconds that they did without having the internal structures atomized. And, hey – I unknowingly printed the Van Romero piece above without perusing this section...this work was done as a stream of consciousness; but please realize that I have been researching this EVER SINCE THAT DAY – so if the details of the original Van Romero piece have escaped you, read it again...then make up your own mind just how convincing his re-issuance sounds, in regards to his original analysis. And please...don't take my word for ANYTHING...please fact-check all that I have presented - I look forward to your comments; positive, negative or unrelated.
Seismic Spikes
Claim: Seismographs at Columbia University's Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory in Palisades, N.Y., 21 miles north of the WTC, recorded the events of 9/11. "The strongest jolts were all registered at the beginning of the collapses, well before falling debris struck the earth," reports the Web site WhatReallyHappened.com.
A columnist on Prisonplanet.com, a Web site run by radio talk show host Alex Jones, claims the seismic spikes (boxed area on Graph 1) are "indisputable proof that massive explosions brought down" the towers. The Web site says its findings are supported by two seismologists at the observatory, Won-Young Kim and Arthur Lerner-Lam. Each "sharp spike of short duration," says Prisonplanet.com, was consistent with a "demolition-style implosion."
Fine Lines: Revisionists say sharp spikes (graph 1, above) mean bombs toppled the WTC. Scientists disprove the claim with the more detailed graph 2 (below). (Seismograph readings by Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory of Columbia University: Won-Young Kim, senior research scientist; Arthur Lerner-Lam, associate director; Mary Tobin, senior science writer)
FACT: "There is no scientific basis for the conclusion that explosions brought down the towers," Lerner-Lam tells PM. "That representation of our work is categorically incorrect and not in context."
The report issued by Lamont-Doherty includes various graphs showing the seismic readings produced by the planes crashing into the two towers as well as the later collapse of both buildings. WhatReallyHappened.com chooses to display only one graph (Graph 1), which shows the readings over a 30-minute time span.
On that graph, the 8- and 10-second collapses appear — misleadingly — as a pair of sudden spikes. Lamont-Doherty's 40-second plot of the same data (Graph 2) gives a much more detailed picture: The seismic waves — blue for the South Tower, red for the North Tower — start small and then escalate as the buildings rumble to the ground. Translation: no bombs.
hf: You can't take this obvious data proving that there was some other force at play, and then state that those forces did not exist. If you'll recall, there were dozens of reportage by newsmen and bystanders alike which remarked upon "explosions"; let's not be so sure to absolutely discount them, since NIST never bothered to check for explosives.
WTC 7 Collapse
Claim: Seven hours after the two towers fell, the 47-story WTC 7 collapsed. According to 911review.org: "The video clearly shows that it was not a collapse subsequent to a fire, but rather a controlled demolition: amongst the Internet investigators, the jury is in on this one."
Fire Storm: WTC 7 stands amid the rubble of the recently collapsed Twin Towers. Damaged by falling debris, the building then endures a fire that rages for hours. Experts say this combination, not a demolition-style implosion, led to the roofline "kink" that signals WTC 7's progressive collapse. (Photograph by New York Office of Emergency Management)
FACT: Many conspiracy theorists point to FEMA's preliminary report, which said there was relatively light damage to WTC 7 prior to its collapse. With the benefit of more time and resources, NIST researchers now support the working hypothesis that WTC 7 was far more compromised by falling debris than the FEMA report indicated. "The most important thing we found was that there was, in fact, physical damage to the south face of building 7," NIST's Sunder tells PM. "On about a third of the face to the center and to the bottom — approximately 10 stories — about 25 percent of the depth of the building was scooped out." NIST also discovered previously undocumented damage to WTC 7's upper stories and its southwest corner.
NIST investigators believe a combination of intense fire and severe structural damage contributed to the collapse, though assigning the exact proportion requires more research. But NIST's analysis suggests the fall of WTC 7 was an example of "progressive collapse," a process in which the failure of parts of a structure ultimately creates strains that cause the entire building to come down. Videos of the fall of WTC 7 show cracks, or "kinks," in the building's facade just before the two penthouses disappeared into the structure, one after the other. The entire building fell in on itself, with the slumping east side of the structure pulling down the west side in a diagonal collapse.
According to NIST, there was one primary reason for the building's failure: In an unusual design, the columns near the visible kinks were carrying exceptionally large loads, roughly 2000 sq. ft. of floor area for each floor. "What our preliminary analysis has shown is that if you take out just one column on one of the lower floors," Sunder notes, "it could cause a vertical progression of collapse so that the entire section comes down."
There are two other possible contributing factors still under investigation: First, trusses on the fifth and seventh floors were designed to transfer loads from one set of columns to another. With columns on the south face apparently damaged, high stresses would likely have been communicated to columns on the building's other faces, thereby exceeding their load-bearing capacities.
Second, a fifth-floor fire burned for up to 7 hours. "There was no firefighting in WTC 7," Sunder says. Investigators believe the fire was fed by tanks of diesel fuel that many tenants used to run emergency generators. Most tanks throughout the building were fairly small, but a generator on the fifth floor was connected to a large tank in the basement via a pressurized line. Says Sunder: "Our current working hypothesis is that this pressurized line was supplying fuel [to the fire] for a long period of time."
WTC 7 might have withstood the physical damage it received, or the fire that burned for hours, but those combined factors — along with the building's unusual construction — were enough to set off the chain-reaction collapse.

hf: Foreknowledge admitted in regards to the Salomon Brothers building – inadvertently displayed by broadcasts from the BBC and CNN on 9/11 – I'd like to get a timestamp of the broadcasts and verify their authenticity, but they clearly show an UNCOLLAPSED WTC 7 at 4:54 PM, while the broadcasters (Jane Standley is one of the reporters) are stating that it has already collapsed.
The Pentagon
At 9:37 am on 9/11, 51 minutes after the first plane hit the World Trade Center, the Pentagon was similarly attacked. Though dozens of witnesses saw a Boeing 757 hit the building, conspiracy advocates insist there is evidence that a missile or a different type of plane smashed into the Pentagon.

Big Plane, Small Holes
Claim: Two holes were visible in the Pentagon immediately after the attack: a 75-ft.-wide entry hole in the building's exterior wall, and a 16-ft.-wide hole in Ring C, the Pentagon's middle ring. Conspiracy theorists claim both holes are far too small to have been made by a Boeing 757. "How does a plane 125 ft. wide and 155 ft. long fit into a hole which is only 16 ft. across?" asks reopen911.org, a Web site "dedicated to discovering the bottom line truth to what really occurred on September 11, 2001."
The truth is of even less importance to French author Thierry Meyssan, whose baseless assertions are fodder for even mainstream European and Middle Eastern media. In his book The Big Lie, Meyssan concludes that the Pentagon was struck by a satellite-guided missile — part of an elaborate U.S. military coup. "This attack," he writes, "could only be committed by United States military personnel against other U.S. military personnel."
Hole Truth: Flight 77's landing gear punched a 12-ft. hole into the Pentagon's Ring C. (Photograph by Department of Defense)
FACT: When American Airlines Flight 77 hit the Pentagon's exterior wall, Ring E, it created a hole approximately 75 ft. wide, according to the ASCE Pentagon Building Performance Report. The exterior facade collapsed about 20 minutes after impact, but ASCE based its measurements of the original hole on the number of first-floor support columns that were destroyed or damaged. Computer simulations confirmed the findings.
Why wasn't the hole as wide as a 757's 124-ft.-10-in. wingspan? A crashing jet doesn't punch a cartoon-like outline of itself into a reinforced concrete building, says ASCE team member Mete Sozen, a professor of structural engineering at Purdue University. In this case, one wing hit the ground; the other was sheared off by the force of the impact with the Pentagon's load-bearing columns, explains Sozen, who specializes in the behavior of concrete buildings. What was left of the plane flowed into the structure in a state closer to a liquid than a solid mass. "If you expected the entire wing to cut into the building," Sozen tells PM, "it didn't happen."
The tidy hole in Ring C was 12 ft. wide — not 16 ft. ASCE concludes it was made by the jet's landing gear, not by the fuselage.
Intact Windows
Claim: Many Pentagon windows remained in one piece — even those just above the point of impact from the Boeing 757 passenger plane. Pentagonstrike.co.uk, an online animation widely circulated in the United States and Europe, claims that photographs showing "intact windows" directly above the crash site prove "a missile" or "a craft much smaller than a 757" struck the Pentagon.
FACT: Some windows near the impact area did indeed survive the crash. But that's what the windows were supposed to do — they're blast-resistant.
"A blast-resistant window must be designed to resist a force significantly higher than a hurricane that's hitting instantaneously," says Ken Hays, executive vice president of Masonry Arts, the Bessemer, Ala., company that designed, manufactured and installed the Pentagon windows. Some were knocked out of the walls by the crash and the outer ring's later collapse. "They were not designed to receive wracking seismic force," Hays notes. "They were designed to take in inward pressure from a blast event, which apparently they did: [Before the collapse] the blinds were still stacked neatly behind the window glass."
Flight 77 Debris
Claim: Conspiracy theorists insist there was no plane wreckage at the Pentagon. "In reality, a Boeing 757 was never found," claims pentagonstrike.co.uk, which asks the question, "What hit the Pentagon on 9/11?"

FACT: Blast expert Allyn E. Kilsheimer was the first structural engineer to arrive at the Pentagon after the crash and helped coordinate the emergency response. "It was absolutely a plane, and I'll tell you why," says Kilsheimer, CEO of KCE Structural Engineers PC, Washington, D.C. "I saw the marks of the plane wing on the face of the building. I picked up parts of the plane with the airline markings on them. I held in my hand the tail section of the plane, and I found the black box." Kilsheimer's eyewitness account is backed up by photos of plane wreckage inside and outside the building. Kilsheimer adds: "I held parts of uniforms from crew members in my hands, including body parts. Okay?"
Flight 93
Cockpit recordings indicate the passengers on United Airlines Flight 93 teamed up to attack their hijackers, forcing down the plane near Shanksville, in southwestern Pennsylvania. But conspiracy theorists assert Flight 93 was destroyed by a heat-seeking missile from an F-16 or a mysterious white plane. Some theorists add far-fetched elaborations: No terrorists were aboard, or the passengers were drugged. The wildest is the "bumble planes" theory, which holds that passengers from Flights 11, 175 and 77 were loaded onto Flight 93 so the U.S. government could kill them.
The White Jet
Claim: At least six eyewitnesses say they saw a small white jet flying low over the crash area almost immediately after Flight 93 went down. BlogD.com theorizes that the aircraft was downed by "either a missile fired from an Air Force jet, or via an electronic assault made by a U.S. Customs airplane reported to have been seen near the site minutes after Flight 93 crashed." WorldNetDaily.com weighs in: "Witnesses to this low-flying jet ... told their story to journalists. Shortly thereafter, the FBI began to attack the witnesses with perhaps the most inane disinformation ever — alleging the witnesses actually observed a private jet at 34,000 ft. The FBI says the jet was asked to come down to 5000 ft. and try to find the crash site. This would require about 20 minutes to descend."
FACT: There was such a jet in the vicinity — a Dassault Falcon 20 business jet owned by the VF Corp. of Greensboro, N.C., an apparel company that markets Wrangler jeans and other brands. The VF plane was flying into Johnstown-Cambria airport, 20 miles north of Shanksville. According to David Newell, VF's director of aviation and travel, the FAA's Cleveland Center contacted copilot Yates Gladwell when the Falcon was at an altitude "in the neighborhood of 3000 to 4000 ft." — not 34,000 ft. "They were in a descent already going into Johnstown," Newell adds. "The FAA asked them to investigate and they did. They got down within 1500 ft. of the ground when they circled. They saw a hole in the ground with smoke coming out of it. They pinpointed the location and then continued on." Reached by PM, Gladwell confirmed this account but, concerned about ongoing harassment by conspiracy theorists, asked not to be quoted directly.
Roving Engine
Claim: One of Flight 93's engines was found "at a considerable distance from the crash site," according to Lyle Szupinka, a state police officer on the scene who was quoted in the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review. Offering no evidence, a posting on Rense.com claimed: "The main body of the engine ... was found miles away from the main wreckage site with damage comparable to that which a heat-seeking missile would do to an airliner."
FACT: Experts on the scene tell PM that a fan from one of the engines was recovered in a catchment basin, downhill from the crash site. Jeff Reinbold, the National Park Service representative responsible for the Flight 93 National Memorial, confirms the direction and distance from the crash site to the basin: just over 300 yards south, which means the fan landed in the direction the jet was traveling. "It's not unusual for an engine to move or tumble across the ground," says Michael K. Hynes, an airline accident expert who investigated the crash of TWA Flight 800 out of New York City in 1996. "When you have very high velocities, 500 mph or more," Hynes says, "you are talking about 700 to 800 ft. per second. For something to hit the ground with that kind of energy, it would only take a few seconds to bounce up and travel 300 yards." Numerous crash analysts contacted by PM concur.
Indian Lake
Claim: "Residents and workers at businesses outside Shanksville, Somerset County, reported discovering clothing, books, papers and what appeared to be human remains," states a Pittsburgh Post-Gazette article dated Sept. 13, 2001. "Others reported what appeared to be crash debris floating in Indian Lake, nearly 6 miles from the immediate crash scene." Commenting on reports that Indian Lake residents collected debris, Think AndAsk.com speculates: "On Sept. 10, 2001, a strong cold front pushed through the area, and behind it — winds blew northerly. Since Flight 93 crashed west-southwest of Indian Lake, it was impossible for debris to fly perpendicular to wind direction. ... The FBI lied." And the significance of widespread debris? Theorists claim the plane was breaking up before it crashed. TheForbiddenKnowledge.com states bluntly: "Without a doubt, Flight 93 was shot down."

(Map by International Mapping)
FACT: Wallace Miller, Somerset County coroner, tells PM no body parts were found in Indian Lake. Human remains were confined to a 70-acre area directly surrounding the crash site. Paper and tiny scraps of sheetmetal, however, did land in the lake. "Very light debris will fly into the air, because of the concussion," says former National Transportation Safety Board investigator Matthew McCormick. Indian Lake is less than 1.5 miles southeast of the impact crater — not 6 miles — easily within range of debris blasted skyward by the heat of the explosion from the crash. And the wind that day was northwesterly, at 9 to 12 mph, which means it was blowing from the northwest — toward Indian Lake.
F-16 Pilot
Claim: In February 2004, retired Army Col. Donn de Grand-Pre said on "The Alex Jones Show," a radio talk show broadcast on 42 stations: "It [Flight 93] was taken out by the North Dakota Air Guard. I know the pilot who fired those two missiles to take down 93." LetsRoll911.org, citing de Grand-Pre, identifies the pilot: "Major Rick Gibney fired two Sidewinder missiles at the aircraft and destroyed it in midflight at precisely 0958."
FACT: Saying he was reluctant to fuel debate by responding to unsubstantiated charges, Gibney (a lieutenant colonel, not a major) declined to comment. According to Air National Guard spokesman Master Sgt. David Somdahl, Gibney flew an F-16 that morning--but nowhere near Shanksville. He took off from Fargo, N.D., and flew to Bozeman, Mont., to pick up Ed Jacoby Jr., the director of the New York State Emergency Management Office. Gibney then flew Jacoby from Montana to Albany, N.Y., so Jacoby could coordinate 17,000 rescue workers engaged in the state's response to 9/11. Jacoby confirms the day's events. "I was in Big Sky for an emergency managers meeting. Someone called to say an F-16 was landing in Bozeman. From there we flew to Albany." Jacoby is outraged by the claim that Gibney shot down Flight 93. "I summarily dismiss that because Lt. Col. Gibney was with me at that time. It disgusts me to see this because the public is being misled. More than anything else it disgusts me because it brings up fears. It brings up hopes — it brings up all sorts of feelings, not only to the victims' families but to all the individuals throughout the country, and the world for that matter. I get angry at the misinformation out there."
