Uhm...what?

This is all a lot of hullabaloo about NOTHING.

Actually, that's not quite true...it is about stifling a voice - that voice belongs to the President of Iran, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad - considering the shoddy treatment that he's received at the hands of our Distraction Media, he is owed an opportunity to clear the air.

For example, he never said these words: "Israel must be wiped off the map"; in fact, he has stated that his disagreements are with the policies of Israel, and not with Israelis. That is a very important distinction to make.

There is a lot of rhetoric rebounding within the halls of power: as it currently stands, we have Iran on one hand, being threatened with either invasion or annihilation, being backed by both Russia and China; on the other hand, we have Israel, who maintains that Iran is a threat to their existence, backed by us, the good ol' United States of America.

Pity us.

Let's see how the whole shebang goes tomorrow.

When John McCain announced Sarah Palin as his running mate, the campaign immediately began touting her experience--both foreign and domestic--as "commander-in-chief" of the Alaska National Guard. But the reality of the situation--that Palin actually had little to do with the National Guard quickly became apparent. In fact, the idea was undercut severely by comments made by the actual commander of the Alaska National Guard--its Adjutant General, Major General Craig Campbell. When that happened, it eventually turned into somewhat of a national joke, culminating in the humiliation of McCain/Palin campaign spokesman Tucker Bounds on CNN when he tried to promote Palin’s "foreign policy" experience during the Republican National Convention.

Friday 5 September 2008: Only two days later, Campbell’s story has completely flip-flopped. Now he’s suddenly praising Palin, appearing on Fox News to gush about what a superb commander-in-chief she is:

"I'll tell you, in the last few days, I've been watching the press, and I've not been very pleased with what I've been seeing about the chastising of the National Guard by having it diminished by the insinuation that a commander-in-chief of the National Guard doesn't really control the military. The National Guard has 500,000 people in it around this great country, serving in states and overseas. Alaska National Guard Adjutant General Promoted

September 8, 2008, Camp Denali , Alaska – Before a formation of Alaska Air and Army National Guard members, the Alaska National Guard's top leader was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant General yesterday in front of the Guard's headquarters building on Fort Richardson .

Lt. Gen. ( Alaska ) Craig E. Campbell, the adjutant general of the Alaska National Guard and commissioner of the Department of Military & Veterans Affairs, received his third star, signifying Governor Sarah Palin's support of the Guard and her commitment to reinforcing the cooperation between federal and state military assets.

Palin took the opportunity to promote Campbell ahead of any pending emergency that may occur with the upcoming fall storm season. This allows Alaska to have more of a say in times of state disasters.

"This is about Alaskans serving Alaskans. The promotion is a statement that the Alaska National Guard is the state military force responsible for responding to state issues, at the direction of the Governor," Governor Palin said. "The decision to promote the Adjutant General to Lieutenant General is based on a fundamental states'-rights stance, for which Alaska has a strong historical position."

This issue gained momentum with governors following Hurricane Katrina in 2005, when the Department of Defense pushed a change in federal law that authorized the President of the United States to mobilize National Guard members to federal service in response to emergencies, without the consent of the governor.

The National Governors Association and the Adjutants General Association of the United States were unanimously opposed to this change, and the following year Congress reversed the law. Concurrently, Alaska Statutes were changed to permit the governor to promote the Adjutant General to the state rank of Lieutenant General specifically for state service.

Campbell was pinned with his third star by his daughter Amanda Rauckhorst and wife, Anne Marie Campbell. Lt. Gov. Sean Parnell was also in attendance and spoke on behalf of Gov. Palin about the importance of the Alaska National Guard in securing the state.

"The action of promoting the Adjutant General to Lieutenant General ( Alaska ) in one way serves to strengthen the concept that the federal and state forces are co-equal partners in providing support to the state of Alaska ," Campbell said. "It is also a positive statement by Governor Palin that the Adjutant General, as a senior state official and cabinet member of a state entity, correctly relates to the senior appointed federal officials in Alaska , when supporting the citizens of this great state."

Campbell will only wear the rank of Lieutenant General when he is in service to the state. His federal rank will remain Major General. This state promotion carries no financial benefit to Campbell . When serving in state status, the Adjutant General receives commissioner pay and benefits. When serving in active-duty status (federal), the Adjutant General is paid under the federally recognized rank of Major General.

My Response To Sarah Palin's God Of Death

Hearing Sarah Palin's words that the Iraqi war was her Gods Plan send shivers down my spine and I immediately thought of the words of Condoleezza Rice, the US Secretary of State when she was asked in August of 2006 why America will not intervene to stop Israel from slaughtering the people of Lebanon and Palestine, Condi's words were chilling; her response was, “What we’re seeing here is the … birth pangs of a new Middle East.
”

How wonderful! When more than fifteen hundred Lebanese people are slaughtered in cold-blood, and another million forced to flee from their homes while their homes and businesses and everything that they care about and is important for them to survive is savagely and brutally destroyed by Israel (with US-supplied arms and ammunitions and handouts), the person who is the face of America in diplomatic circles audaciously says it is the ‘birth-pang’ of a ‘new’ Middle East. What does one know about birth pangs when one never became a mother and has been using condoms as a fornicator all her adult life? So, when Madam Condi Rice talks about birth pangs of a ‘new’ Middle East, I don’t know what would be more appropriate: blame her for superficial knowledge or monumental hypocrisy.

Sarah Palin has shown the same monumental hypocrisy times a thousand; as a mother of five, I wonder how she would feel if she was in the shoes of an Iraqi mother who had just lost her husband and her house; her sons are nowhere to be seen, and her daughters had to turn to prostitution (something almost unheard of in the Islamic world) just to survive, all because the pResident of the world's most powerful country claimed that he heard the voice of his God to start a war against a small country and a poor people who in a thousand years could have never threatened him.

Sarah Palin tells her Church audience that the war in Iraq is God's will:


I cannot come to grips with the premise that God got America into this mess -- that God is the shadowy figure behind the throne, whispering into Bush's ear to dishonor a once great nation, disgrace its armed forces and destroy well over 1,500,000 million innocent human beings. Only a tyrant storms in and out of the affairs of common men, robs them of their way of life, of hope, of free thought -- and randomly and maliciously tortures, even slaughters, those who dare oppose him. Only a tyrant who, as Aristotle wisely noted, "must put on the appearance of uncommon devotion to religion." Aristotle also pointed out that "Subjects are less apprehensive of illegal treatment from a ruler whom they consider god-fearing and pious..."

It is a tragedy of staggering proportions that American Christians are so delusional that ever-widening congregational circles are little more than "subjects" of George Bush and his Bible-thumping, rabid, right-wing administration. Christians accept through blind faith that God is the architect of Bush's personal "war on terror and evildoers.
" Why else would they remain deathly silent in the face of everything they know for a fact is abhorrent to both their Creator (God) and their Savior (Jesus)? Where is the righteous outcry against preemptive attacks on innocent men, women and children at home and abroad? Where is the Christian outpouring of compassion, mercy -- agape love? Who is caring for the poor, the hungry, the homeless, the wounded, the elderly? Who is burying the dead?

Is there not one Christian who will dare to point out that, in his foolish crusade to rid the world of his perceived enemy is nothing more then a lie but that his only aim is to control the worlds resources?

Just one Christian.

Just one with the courage to say the unspeakable -- that George Bush has no knowledge of objectivity nor values...that he likely is unable to even pronounce "metaphysics," let alone understand its spiritual implications, and is unable to form a philosophical concept of a true God.


Is there not even one Christian who misses God and His blessed influence in everything around us -- the poetry of life, the music, the sun-lit laughter inspired by goodness and mercy -- the sheer joy of reaching out to help those in need -- the most vulnerable among us?

The silence of the lambs is inexplicable. Apparently no longer able to discern who, or even where, God is, Christians stand mute before angry and power-mad religious right-wing evangelicals, -- like most out-of-control zealots -- are quite mad. Although they tend to go underground just prior to an election, they are busy behind the scenes in a decades-long, non-stop crusade to gain control of the machinations of government. If Christians are not trembling at the holy war launched against Americans for control of their faith, their lives and their country -- they should be.


This creature whom Bush calls god and is obsessed with forcing upon the rest of the world is no friend of mine -- or yours, either. Bush and his warmongers wallow with their god in the blood of the Old Testament. So be it.
If they refuse to listen to the admonishments of Jesus Christ, maybe the Old Testament prophet Isaiah can get their attention, for when Isaiah lashed out at the Kings of Judah, he could well have been speaking directly to the Bush cabal and, sadly, to far too many of us:

"...your hands are those of murderers and your fingers are filthy with sin. You lie and grumble and oppose the good...You spend your time and energy in spinning evil plans which end up in deadly actions. You cheat and shortchange everyone. Everything you do is filled with sin; violence is your trademark. Your feet run to do evil and rush to murder; your thoughts are only of sinning, and wherever you go you leave behind a trail of misery and death. You don't know what true peace is, nor what it means to be just and good; you continually do wrong and those who follow you won't experience any peace either."

It is time we stopped the madness -- the wanton killing of innocent men, women and children in third world countries and the open assault on Americas own citizens. Bush and his Religious Right brigades have come for the elderly, the poor, the children, the citizens born in other lands, and are now looking at Americas youth. Who among you will be next -- who among you will dare to speak out...?

Michael Rivero of What Really Happened has turned what could have been a typical Labor Day Weekend into something truly special. Check out the video above, once again...but I want you to focus on one specific thing:

Focus on the object of McCain's focus...and you will notice, that on practically EVERY OCCASION where he can get away with it, that he is all over her TUCHIS.

In other words...he's checking out the booty juice, dear readers; at 1:54, he must've noticed a really tender moment, because he does what I like to call the Happy Cringe.

Don't Ask; Don't Tell...that's my motto.

As far as the campaign goes, he thought that he'd attract PUMA and the other various "disaffected" women by nominating a woman to be his Vice President. LIEberman was Albert "Global Warming will make me RUCH!" Gore's kiss of death; Mitt "Helmet-Head" Romney would only had added to Songbird's true status of being one of the so-called "elite"; but Palin's surprise nomination, on a Friday, and just before Labor Day Weekend, was maybe the single most shrewd moment in the eight bloody years that the Republican Party has ever displayed.

And John "Songbird" McCain could have COMPLETELY SCREWED IT with his lack of self-control.

Either that, or...remember the world in which we are now living...it's ENTIRELY POSSIBLE that this will get Songbird the Presidency.

How, you ask, dear readers?

The Happy Cringe will ingratiate him with horny men throughout the United States proper. They will all go, "Man, that McCain knows a good piece-of-ass when he sees one, right?"


I kid you not.

I actually got to see Pay It Forward, and I must say...I've some mixed feelings about the ending of said movie.

I'll bet the original treatment didn't end with the candlelight vigil...you'd think there'd be a triumphant moment as peace and love is spread through the country...yet, it's all stifled.

Kevin Spacey is fucking brilliant, as always; Helen Hunt is at once smokin', tragic, and yet, a MOTHER to Haley Joel Osment's character...that is what you call ACTING. She is excellent from beginning to end. Actually...if you haven't seen this in a while, I'd advise you to take in a viewing before this weekend ends...for two reasons:

1. The sexual undertone that runs through the movie are of the same subtle tone that is part of the RNC's strategy - not in your face (unless you got the scratch to get away with about 240 seconds worth;

2. Forget that ending! Instead..think of everyone around you, "Paying It Forward"...your neighbor made a pot roast, but the in-laws never made it for the visit...they call you up and offer you some dinner...the next day, you see another neighbor walking the street...you know that they usually drive...you stop and ask if they need a ride...you find out that the car's in the shop...they just needed some eggs.

Give them a ride.

I got one...not too long ago.

I'm still "paying it forward", just as I have been since before I had ever heard of the concept.
