Putting 9/11 aside for a moment, one thing is clear. If Israel hadn't held the Palestinians by the nose while they kicked them every which way FOR DECADES, and up to the present moment, we wouldn't be in this mess (and neither would the Palestinians.) A state based on the idea that only people of one religion can be citizens with the full rights of citizenship, won't work, and is bound to degenerate into a pathalogical mess, which is just exactly what Israel is. If we can't change Israel, we can at least change this state of affairs where we're the cart, and Israel's the horse.
Back to 9/11.
There are actually a few reasons to think that the highjackers were false flag recruits of the Mossad:
- A late 1970's CIA evaluation of the Mossad, which was released to the press by Iranian students, mentions explicitly that the Mossad engages in false flag recruitment, i.e. the Mossad recruits people at times by pretending to be some imaginary agency. This is described in the May, 1982 issue of Merip Reports. (Merip stands for the Middle East Research and Information Project.)
Have Israel's military and intelligence agencys resisted the temptation to recruit Arabs, representing themselves to be Arabs?
Maybe not:

Irgun terrorists pretended to be Arabs when they bombed the King David Hotel. According to the Times of London: "Decades later, Irgun veterans are unrepentant. Sarah Agassi, 80, remembers spying in the King David Hotel. She and a fellow agent posed as a couple. They danced tangos and waltzes, sipped whisky and wine while they cased out the hotel. On the day her brother and his fellow fighters posed as Arabs delivering milk and brought seven milk churns, each containing 50kg of explosives, into the building."

- Nick Berg. It's very reasonable to suppose that Nick Berg was a Mossad agent when he was killed in Iraq, since he was in Iraq with no connection to the US. military or any company connected to the US. military. He also knew at least some Arabic when he was killed. Some years earlier, after a kind of off the wall academic trajectory Cornell -> University of Pennsylvania -> Oklahoma, his computer password was used by Moussaoui. Very reasonable questions would be: Did Nick Berg know Arabic then? Was Nick Berg working for Mossad then? A shared computer password would be an excellent form of covert communication.
- The Art Students. Huge amounts of money and time were spent circulating the Art Students through US. government facilities, while at the same time some of them lived in close proximity to the highjackers. If all Mossad wanted to do was investigate the highjackers, then why the smoke screen?? Why all the noise??

One good reason for noise is to disguise something you DON'T want seen. Another reason for noise might be to sound out what the US intelligence system knew: i.e. send noise into the system and see if anything that makes sense comes out. If the highjackers were in fact false flag recruits of the Mossad, Israel would want to check, and check, and keep checking to see if any US. government agency had noticed them. And it's pretty obvious by now that Israel has a pretty good handle on what goes on inside the government, and would have found out what sense the government had made of all the noise. (None at the time, according to the DEA memorandum.)
- Why would "Al Qaeda", the supposed perpetrator of 9/11, recruit Moussaoui - someone who was the son of an immigrant to France, who lived in France, and was actually born in France?? Put yourself in the shoes of an "Al Queda" recruiter. Wouldn't you want people who you knew by heart, whose fathers, mothers, uncles, etc. you knew, and then send them OUT to the west? Would you want to recruit somebody who was born in a country with as many western intelligence operatives as anywhere in the world, , many of whom have dreamed up and implemented every kind of double agent game there is? On the other hand, Mossad Arabic speakers could easily fool someone living in France - how well would Moussaoui have known Arabic, who could he have gone to for advice? In a controlled setting like France, where there's a large Jewish population, a sitution could be set up so that a potential recruit could be under nominal control even before the ecruitment offer. The same argument applies to Hamburg.
- 9/11 doesn't fit togther as A WHOLE, if it's an Arab operation. If it's an Arab operation, then we have to accept as a coincidence that buildings owned by people with extraordinarily close ties to Israel collapsed at near free fall velocities, including WT7; we have to accept as coincidence that Larry Silverstein described deciding to "pull" WT7 and watching it go down; we have to accept the Art Students as what...a heroic attempt to foil the highjackers? Then why all the visits to DEA agents at their homes? (Incidentally, the Art Student visits to Federal agents smell like something else besides a smoke screen - they also smell like intimidation.)
