Money As Debt

The Three Stooges: Obama, McCain and Clinton on Israel

Edited by: Michael Hess

Three possible choices for US President in lockstep on AIPAC driven Israel does no wrong policy

BBSNews 2008-05-01 -- By Stuart Littlewood. I don't know about you, but Hillary Rodham Clinton scares the pants off me.

"I want the Iranians to know that if I am president, we will attack Iran," she ranted when asked what she'd do if Iran launched a nuclear attack on Israel. Not only that, she'll "totally obliterate them"... 70 million people.

Jeepers... what kind of lunatic would drag us all into World War 3 to defend a lawless, racist regime like Israel?

I see the Council on Foreign Relations helps keep tabs on the stooge-for-Israel inclinations of each presidential candidate, so how's Hillary doing? "Clinton co-sponsored the Palestinian Anti-Terrorism Act of 2006," says the CFR. "She also sponsored a Senate resolution in 2007 calling for the immediate and unconditional release of soldiers of Israel held captive by Hamas and Hezbollah."

Was she concerned about the 9,000 Palestinians, including women and children, abducted from their homes and held in Israeli jails? Apparently not.

Since taking office in 2000, Clinton has regularly supported military and financial aid packages to Israel. In a speech to the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) she spouted the now-compulsory mantra: Hamas should not be recognised "until it renounces violence and terror and recognises Israel's right to exist."

She supports Israel's 'security wall' and its declared purpose of preventing terrorist attacks. Does she support the wall's undeclared purpose - which has nothing to do with security - and the way it bites deep into Palestinian territory?

Barack Obama has said the United States must isolate Hamas. He also co-sponsored the Palestinian Anti-Terrorism Act of 2006 and called on the Palestinian leadership to "recognise Israel, to renounce violence, and to get serious about negotiating peace and security for the region". OK, why don't America and Israel get serious about implementing the dozens of UN resolutions on the subject? He doesn't say.

He called Carter's meeting with Hamas leaders "a bad idea", so what's his pledge to talk with US adversaries without preconditions worth? If elected, Obama will insist on fully funding military assistance to Israel. Does this mean paying them even more billions of US tax dollars so that they can fire even more high-tech munitions at Gaza, vaporize more women and kids and knock out more infrastructure that Britain and the EU paid for?

John Sidney McCain the Third says he's "proudly pro-Israel" and argues that there can be no peace process "until the Palestinians recognise Israel, forswear forever the use of violence, recognise their previous agreements..." Has he asked Israel to do the same? No.

He criticises Carter's meeting with Hamas, calling it "a grave and dangerous mistake for an American leader". And he wants the United States to continue providing Israel with whatever military equipment and technology it needs. If elected McCain would "work to further isolate the enemies of Israel". Surely his time would be better spent worrying about why half the world hates the US.

McCain even thinks Israel's military action in Lebanon in 2006 was justified. He's willing to use military force against Iran if it acquires a nuclear weapon and poses a "real threat" to Israel. Well, we know from past experience what "real threats" boil down to. And guess what: he too co-sponsored the Palestinian Anti-Terrorism Act of 2006.

What is this Palestinian Anti-Terrorism Act they all so desperately wanted? It doesn't make nice reading. The idea is to heap misery on any Palestinian government in which Hamas has a hand, ignoring the fact that the resistance movement is democratically elected and shows no sign of running away. The Act demands everything from the Palestinians and nothing from Israel, which can do no wrong in Washington's eyes but, as everyone outside America knows, is the biggest terror organisation and law-breaker in the region.

Palestinians are perfectly entitled to put up armed resistance against illegal military occupation. Nevertheless the US requires them to end their struggle, get on their knees and publicly kiss their tormentors' ass. They must re-commit to the Road Map and the two-state solution even though the 'irreversible facts on the ground' Israel is hurrying to establish and the impoverished, fragmented leftovers of land the Palestinians will be left with (less than 20% of what was originally theirs) are not a recipe for peace.

The plan is plainly to support Israel's lust for prime land and strategic resources and end all hope of Palestinian viability and self-determination.

So the three main presidential candidates are singing off the same hymn-sheet and running neck-and-neck for the job of Stooge-in-Chief. Whichever finally makes it into the White House can count on us Brits being equally well prepped, thanks to the Israel lobby's energetic string-pulling on this side of the Atlantic too.

Israel's prime minister Olmert says AIPAC is "the greatest supporter and friend that we have in the whole world". It is certainly busy, claiming that "through more than 2,000 meetings with members of Congress... AIPAC activists help pass more than 100 pro-Israel legislative initiatives a year... procuring nearly $3 billion in aid critical to Israel's security." Lobbyists meet every member of Congress and cover every hearing on Capitol Hill that touches on the US-Israel relationship.

Little wonder that Ariel Sharon was able to brag: "We, the Jewish people, control America, and the Americans know it." Had he been available for comment today he'd probably be saying the same about the UK where AIPAC's little brother, Friends of Israel, has succeeded in embedding itself deep inside British politics and at the heart of government. Its stated aim is to promote Israel's interests in Parliament and sway policy.

Conservative Friends of Israel, for example, claims 80 percent of Conservative MPs and provides a programme of weekly briefings, events with speakers, and delegations to Israel. It also operates a 'Fast Track' for parliamentary candidates fighting target marginals at the next election.

According to senior Conservatives Israel is "a force for good in the world... In the battle for the values that we stand for, for democracy against theocracy, for democratic liberal values against repression - Israel's enemies are our enemies and this is a battle in which we all stand together".

Are they mad? We're talking here about a ruthless ethnocracy with racist policies, an apartheid agenda, advanced skills in state-terrorism and contempt for the UN Charter and international law.

Nevertheless MPs of all parties, and ministers, are basking in Israel's hospitality, absorbing the propaganda and allowing themselves to be persuaded to push the interest of this foreign military power sometimes at the expense of our own. Such conduct is at odds with the second of the Seven Principles of Public Life, namely Integrity – "Holders of public office should not place themselves under any financial or other obligation to outside individuals or organisations that might seek to influence them in the performance of their official duties."

Efforts are being made to have the influence of the Israel lobby investigated, but the people's watchdog - the Committee on Standards in Public Life - is itself infiltrated and refuses to act.

This week former Serb officers went on trial at The Hague for ethnic cleansing. They face life sentences for murder, persecution, forced deportations and inhuman acts during the 1991-95 Balkan wars. Many people feel it's time Israelis faced charges for similar crimes during the 60 years of occupation and catastrophe they have inflicted on the Holy Land. The list includes:

* torture
* collective punishment
* targeted assassinations
* house demolitions
* wholesale slaughter
* use of indiscriminate and prohibited weapons against civilians
* land theft
* engineering humanitarian disasters
* creating medical and public health crises
* the wanton destruction of key infrastructure and public ... private property
* restrictions on movement and trade
* illegal detention
* suppression of education
* denial of basic human rights
* denial of the right of refugees to return
* illegal settlements
* violation of every convention and code of conduct.

Speaking of the Holy Land, are the three stooges aware that Christian communities under Israeli occupation are being oppressed and crushed along with their Muslim neighbours?

It was heartening to read in The Guardian this week a letter signed by more than 100 prominent Jews saying they cannot celebrate the 60th birthday of a state "founded on terrorism, massacres and the dispossession of another people from their land... and that even now engages in ethnic cleansing." They'll celebrate when Arab and Jew live as equals in a peaceful Middle East.

So there you have it. Hillary/Barack/John the Third, you would do well to steer a different course in the Arab-Israel conflict. Quit stooging, kick AIPAC into touch, back off and re-think US foreign policy.

How much support do you think you'd get for annihilating 70 million Iranians?

Flight 93 - Evidence Against The Official Narrative Of Events

I'll return with a rant shortly...

Here's a clip of an U.S. Senator being attacked for questioning the events of September 11th, 2001:

In other news...The Murrah Building Bombing/Controlled Demolition

Here's what I have to say about it:

The truck bomb, like the planes on September 11th, were distractions. For that truck bomb to do what it was purported to do, it would've had to VAPORIZE an equivalent area of the ground beneath it - or do you think it's possible to create a shaped charge from ANFO in a Ryder truck that would affect ONLY the Murrah Building?

Come on...humor me.

We are fighting a "war" on two fronts

Ron Paul in Reno

Nev. GOP recesses state convention, angering Paul supporters

RENO, Nev. (AP) — Outmaneuvered by raucous Ron Paul supporters, Nevada Republican Party leaders abruptly shut down their state convention and now must resume the event to complete a list of 31 delegates to the GOP national convention.

Outnumbered supporters of expected Republican presidential nominee John McCain faced off Saturday against well-organized Paul supporters. A large share of the more than 1,300 state convention delegates enabled Paul supporters to get a rule change positioning them for more national convention delegate slots than expected.

"I've seen factions walk out. I've never seen a party walk out," said Jeff Greenspan, regional coordinator for the Paul campaign.

Delegates cheered earlier in the day as former presidential hopeful Mitt Romney urged support for McCain. Later, though, Paul got even louder applause as he delivered his message of individual freedom and fiscal responsibility.

State Sen. Bob Beers, the convention chairman, was booed loudly as he called for a recess Saturday evening. He said that the party's rental contract for a big meeting room at a Reno hotel-casino had expired and there was too much work left to complete.

State GOP Chairwoman Sue Lowden said the rules change wasn't anticipated. She denied any anti-Paul bias, saying expected slates of national delegates were prepared through a fair and open process by the convention's nominations committee and the party thought the convention would accept them.

So...that's one front with which WE THE PEOPLE are confronted. We are in the midst of the most fraudulent election I have EVER seen.

Found this on DesertPeace's Blog: watch death ‘Live on camera…’

This is the other front.

We have a number of individuals who have dual-citizenship, but mete out policies detrimental to the United States of America.

NO MAN CAN SERVE TWO MASTERS.

Either you're an AMERICAN, or you're an intruder, and we should shine the floodlights upon you and watch you scurry like the vermin that you are.

Jonathan Pollard is a piece of human garbage.

Ben-Ami Kadish is a piece of human garbage.

Ariel Weinmannn is a piece of human garbage

Steven Rosen and Keith Weissman are pieces of human garbage.

Lewis "Scooter" Libby might be one of the BIGGEST PIECES OF HUMAN GARBAGE walking around free today - you only have your enabler, pResident George "The Monkey King" Walker Bush, to thank for that.

Hey, asshats...you know that you've committed TREASON against the United States of America, and all of the citizens herein, right?

It matters NOT what your intentions were. This is the United States of America, not fucking ISRAEL.

The so-called "elite" of the world have control of over 90% of the wealth of the world. The rest of the world seems to be able to function with the less than 10% of wealth available.

How's this for a scenario: since it's only ever by a smattering of funds that things are fated not to work in our society for the betterment of all, why not MAKE IT HAPPEN?!?!

How's that for a novel idea?

No more food shortages!

No more homelessness!

No more stupid-ass wars of conquest!

I mean, you'll still have your monies, right?

Oh...I forgot...you're trying to reduce the population by 80-90%. That's contrary to pretty much EVERYTHING I've mentioned.

Oh, dear.

Listen, idiots. None of your eugenics programs will work. Here's why:

We are all the same - we are all HUMAN. I was actually watching CNN last night, and I caught the tail end of Reverend Jeremiah Wright's new speech. he went on about the differences between how Black Americans think and speak with regard to how non-Black Americans think and speak. Now, I'm not wholly convinced, because I see a lot of crossover betwixt the two populations (I, myself, have never suffered from the "slave mentality" that I see in most people).

Here - let's hear what he had to say at the NAACP conference in Detroit, Michigan:

Click within the video to see the whole shebang.

It would be nice if the stupid "elite" would leave us out of their dopey-ass War of the Roses, but no...what fun is amassed riches and obscene wealth, unless you have plebians to show off to?

We are not impressed.

So...why don't you tools go buy yourselves an island, and leave the rest of us to live on this Earth?

Go on...GET OUTTA HERE!

Vetting the Candidates: An American Tradition

Posted April 25, 2008

By ADAM MCKAY for The Huffington Post

America is a country that prides itself on being able to identify a "straight shooter" or "the genuine article" when it comes to our leaders. We as a nation can "feel it in our gut" when someone is giving us a bum steer. We have a free press ("Free press" is trademarked by GE and Viacom) and freedom of speech (with the ability to monitor said free speech at the president's discretion). In other words, we vet our candidates thoroughly and with rigor.

We vetted Reagan and found out he was an ex-cowboy who starred at Notre Dame and was able to communicate with primates ala Jane Goodall. And after Reagan was vetted he rewarded our free press (™) by taking away some regulations that were making it hard for them to vet and merge and take over effectively. And the fifteen or so corporations that owned the media were thankful.

Bush Sr. was put through the ringer as well. We learned that he was an all-glove, no-bat first baseman who had probably killed people in cool ways at the CIA. And best of all he had hung with Reagan. Another job well done by the eight or nine corporations that owned the media at that time.

Then reform-minded Clinton came along and the five or six corporations that owned the media got to work again. We learned that in 1964 he had ordered a ham sandwich and then we went through literally every second of his existence from that point on. We even hired a full-time prosecutor to investigate him 24 hours a day. Now that's vetting. And while this was happening Clinton raised minimum wage and capital gains taxes and a slew of other things that made the four conglomerates that owned the media and most of Congress really mad. But finally the diligence of the American press and people paid off and we learned he had received a blow job. Once again America had vetted its leaders.

Next came W. Bush and the vetting kicked into high gear by the four companies that owned the press, W. Bush, Congress and mailboxes in the Bahamas. The American people did their part by listening to what that press said and believing them. Not always an easy task. We learned W. Bush was like Reagan, a cowboy. and that he was a regular guy who, unlike Al Gore, loved Jesus. And oh yeah, the liberals whined about some other stuff like the fact that he deserted from the Air Force, bankrupted companies, had a huge gap in his resume during which he partied non-stop and had a bunch of DUIs...blah, blah. That aside he was the kind of guy you wanted to have a beer with which cancelled out the swiftboating liberal noise.

And now a new crop of candidates comes before the discerning eyes of the American people, (who are too busy to be discerning because they work more hours for less pay and so pass the job of discernment onto the four corporations, I mean free press). And once again the vetting has been thorough. Only this time there's better graphics and Bill is craaazy. Whoo! I love me my vetting!!

After thousands of hours of news coverage we have learned that Hillary is a liar and Barack is a terrorist or something. I'm sure there will be stuff about their positions on the war, lobbyist reform, the environment, the economy... I'm sure those details will receive exhaustive coverage. After all, that's what the entire job they're running for will be about. But vetting takes time... And Bill is craaazy!

John McCain on the other hand has locked up the Republican nomination and we know he was a war hero. But right now we're too busy looking into Hillary's lies and Barack's weird name to get to deep into McCain. The only other thing about McCain is that he once called his wife the C word in public. Other than that he seems to have a pretty clean-

Wait, what did you just say?

McCain called his wife the C word in public. It's in Cliff Schecter's new book The Real McCain. And three reporters verified the incident. Here's an excerpt:

Three reporters from Arizona, on the condition of anonymity, also let me in on another incident involving McCain's intemperateness. In his 1992 Senate bid, McCain was joined on the campaign trail by his wife, Cindy, as well as campaign aide Doug Cole and consultant Wes Gullett. At one point, Cindy playfully twirled McCain's hair and said, "You're getting a little thin up there." McCain's face reddened, and he responded, "At least I don't plaster on the makeup like a trollop, you cunt." McCain's excuse was that it had been a long day. If elected president of the United States, McCain would have many long days.

Hold on, let me drop the facetious tone I was using for the front part of this piece. John McCain called his wife the C-word (or for people from England: cunt) in front of a bunch of people?!!!!! And we're talking about Obama's preacher? McCain dropped a C-bomb and we're spending hours on Hillary exaggerating a trip to Bosnia?!!!

Okay, I get it. We let all Republicans and most Democrats off the hook because they will roll over for the companies that own the media and in McCain's case literally get blown by lobbyists, but come on! Are we not even remotely pretending anymore?

George W. Bush was a silver spoon dolt with no record to speak of other than bankruptcy and selling tropical plants and we let him sail into the White House but Barack talks about religious fundamentalism and guns being prevalent in poor areas and we roast him for weeks?

That isn't just a bias, that's deranged. Big money has seriously warped us. When there is a school shooting the news doesn't talk about basic gun control they talk about video games and their influence on kids. When we learn that the Vice President planted false news stories to take us to war we get outraged about Simon being too mean to contestants on fucking American Idol. And why? Because big money has log jammed our voice and we know it's too hard to do anything about it. So the dollar drops, the insane war continues, polar bears drown, school shootings continue, the trade deficit soars, gas prices go through the roof and this country fades as quietly as someone falling asleep in front of the TV.

We're not a stupid country, we're comfortable and afraid. Afraid to hear the truth. Our leaders talk to us like a parent avoiding the subject of sex with an eight-year-old and we eat it up. And when someone like Obama talks to us like grown-ups we vet him. And vet him.

Think about it, when was the last time there was any coverage about specific plans to withdraw from Iraq? Or how to curb the influence of big money in Washington? Or re-regulating the media? I watch the news a lot. And I can't remember one time unless you count Bill Moyers or Keith Olberman. This whole game is like someone stealing a person's car by slowly getting them to forget how to drive.

A presidential candidate called his wife the C-word in public.

We have lost the ability to generate our own agenda as a people. This one's easy peesy. It involves a dirty word, an anger disorder and male pattern baldness for cripes sakes. That's the triple crown. And I've heard next to nothing. So if we can't get it up for this what hope do we have for dealing with the really important stuff. And meanwhile in our newsrooms they call law clerk after law clerk... "Did Barack ever say anything sexually suggestive to you...? What about inappropriate physical contact?... Are you sure?"

Disappointment

Okay...let it be said that I am disappointed in regards to the three officers not being held accountable for their actions.

I have close personal friends that are law enforcement officers, so don't think I'm on some anti-cop rant - but as I mentioned before, the whole reason that was proferred to the public for their suspeting the trio had a gun, was that they were threatened by an "unknown individual" who threatened the trio with violence, prompting them to retrieve a gun that did not exist...at least, not at the scene.

As I indicated before...WHERE IS THE INTERROGATION OF SAID "UNKNOWN INDIVIDUAL"?

If the report does not exist, then NEITHER DOES THE "UNKNOWN INDIVIDUAL".

I posit that this case was thrown, in order for riots to ensue, thereby giving a reason to enact MARTIAL LAW.

Too bad, scumbags...

Okay...a few more rants:

PEAK OIL is a HOAX; oil is produced ABIOTICALLY...or else you believe that there must have been dinosaurs on MARS, now that evidence of oil has been found.

GLOBAL WARMING...or, excuse me, CLIMATE CHANGE, is another bunch of hooey. Albert Gore, after throwing the eletion in 2000, should have the credibility of, hey, let's say, George Walker Bush, the Monkey King, the nitwit who stole two elections; the first with the help of his brother, Jeb, and Katherine "Tammy Faye the Second" Harris; the second with the assistance of Ken "Uncle Tom" Blackwell.

America's "war OF terror", 'al-qaeda', the CIA and the truth we refuse to see

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I think there are some major misperceptions taking place in the world today. We really ought to be looking into the truth of the information rather than explicitly trusting politicians that are bought and paid for by their constituency, which is largely the same individuals that profit most from the continuation of war and foreign policy that is abrasive and caustic to long term goals of peace and cultural exchange in the societies of the world.

The information I am introducing is the result of painstaking research and dissecting disinformation and propaganda. When a government official makes a statement it should never be taken for granted that the individual has our best interests in mind or that he is going to be straightforward and forthcoming about the information he offers. As people that lay claim to 'the greatest democracy in the world' it ought to be an inherent trait to disprove and remove those men that deliberately decieve and cause harm to the 'democratic' underpinnings that have been handed down to us through our founding fathers. The opposite has become the norm.

This 'war OF terror' being waged by the militarist elements of the United States government (in proxy) on various countries around the world is a farce. It is a lie and construction of men that love money, especially the money war produces. It is the most lucrative market in human history. Let's look at some of the demographics first.

So far at least $500 BILLION dollars have been spent on the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq. These figures do not take into consideration the operations in Sudan, Pakistan, South Africa and other low key areas. $500 BILLION DOLLARS. That figures out to $275 MILLION DOLLARS A DAY 365 DAYS A YEAR FOR 5 YEARS! Can you even grasp the idiocy of that amount or the loss it represents? Figures released today put the number of 'al-qaeda' in Iraq between 2,000 to 6,000 members. That puts the spending per capita between $45,800 to as much as $137,500 DAILY! We are paying out $10,000 more than a teacher's annual salary daily to fight an imaginary enemy at the low end of the figure. The money represented here is just a fraction of what is actually spent. The budgets of other 'security' and clandestine operations groups such as Blackwater and Dyncorp are kept secret and are not even accounted for by our politicians so we can't even see the real figures.

Now let's look at the Iraqi deaths. Right now the conservative figure of 700,000 is offered. That figures out to 400 people PER DAY 365 DAYS A YEAR FOR FIVE YEARS! And this is 'acceptable' collatral damage? considering Saddam had NO WMD'S, he posed no threat to America, he WAS NOT seeking nuclear fissile material. 400 people per day are being slaughtered because of lies, distortions, and greed. What we are seeing is American energy policy in action, but it's more than that. Information for these statistics was drawn from here and here. If it is possible for God to weep I imagine we should be inundated any moment.

If we are going to get a right perspective about our nation's current conundrum we need to go back to the fall of Russia. Russia was fractured in the late 70's, early 80's in order to maximize the potential for petroleum extraction, and you were taught that it was all about the fall of 'communism'. How grossly naive. I have always wondered why, if communism was such a threat to America, didn't it enter into WWII on the side of Germany because it was Hitler not England that was fighting the spread of communism in Europe. Perhaps because it was NEVER about communism anyway. Back to the present. In the late 70's America was recruiting Muslims to fight against Russia to further its dissolution. When the states began to peel away from Russia they were areas around the Caspian Sea which had access to large reserves of petroleum. They were replaced by 'democracies' loyal to America petroleum companies just as was the case in petroleum extraction in South America. To this day an office of Baker Botts is located in Azerbaijan and deals exclusively with petroleum production legalities, where James Baker(ex-Chief of Staff, Sec of the Treasury, & Sec of State) sits on the Honorary Council of Advisors. He also served on the board of the Carlyle Group which is the largest military defense industries holder on the face of the earth and a member of the Council on Foreign Relations. Azerbaijan happens to be where one of the pipelines originated from on the west side of the Caspian Sea. A documentary called 'Extreme Oil' (circa 2004 via PBS) confronts a great deal of the actions of our government in foreign countries where petroleum is a prized resource. It also reveals the consequences of 'American intervention' by using military troops in the dual role of "training foreign troops and protecting the petroleum pipelines". THAT is what American troops are doing in Iraq right now. That and keeping the next progression into Iran near simmering.

The United States CIA is using 'al-qaeda' the same way they used the Contras in the 80's. The CIA from its earliest days has been used to import drugs into America and use those profits to further fund their clandestine operations. CIA DRUG LINK TRILLIONS of American taxpayer's dollars are spent each year supporting 'foreign policy' that is hazardous to other countries of the world and detrimental to the development of true democracies. Quite to the contrary American militarism has been single handedly the greatest threat to true representative democratic societies for the last 100 years. Here is one of the most revelatory films made in recent history that exposes the lie of 'al-qaeda' and the CIA's involvement with even its base structure. One of the important things that should be drawn from this film is that radical Islamists realized the failure of 'radical Islam' to incite the masses, therefore the proponents of the radical ideologies carried out are operating under the premise that it has become acceptable, which it still hasn't. The series called,"The Power of Nightmares" (produced by the BBC) explains a great deal about the tools and methods of the people that are the greatest threats to America and the world.

When you begin to understand the events and their importance you begin to see that Sept. 11, 2001 wasn't an 'attack on our freedoms' but an escalation of policy already in place. You might think that because you believe in America the 'feelings' are reciprocal. It couldn't be further from the truth. There is another 'event' not far down the road that will be used to solidify American 'resolve'(read imperialism) into hatred which will lead to its invasion of Iran.

Bad news #1

Bad news #2

Now this might not seem like the 'issue' it really is on the surface but there really is more to it. You see the recent article in Esquire magazine that covers the admiral's resignation was written by a very interesting figure. The author of the article was a Thomas P. Barnett. Mr. Barnett is a consultant and strategic planner for national security affairs, so what is he doing writing an article about the demise of a admiral that was heralded as the last great firewall preventing an attack on Iran? Well, Mr Barnett has harbored some obliquely fascist ideologies in a presentation he used to tour America on called, "Life After DoDth or: How the Evernet Changes Everything". He has authored a couple of rather interesting books while doing all of this 'consulting' 'strategic planning' 'stuff'. "The Pentagon's New Map-A Future Worth Creating" and "The Pentagon's New Map- War and Peace in the 21st Century" paint a clear picture of a governmental department transforming the militaristic outposts of the American Empire into training grounds for 'boots on the ground' in a global 'police force' using every technological advantage to ensure the protection of resources and power. Enter the National Applications Office and other erosions of America's right to privacy and sound leadership. If that doesn't sound like a 'terrorist training camp' I don't know what does. Mr. Barnett seems almost apologetic in his recent blog entry concerning the 'image' his article presented. It seems he is hesitant as to the sense of alarm he has created but I have to wonder if he was not genuinely aware of it while writing the material he has for so long embraced. The next step is going to drag America further into a war OF terror that it has created itself in order to justify Empire.

IF we as Americans chooses to remain ignorant and blind to the truth it will have severe detrimental effects on mankind as well as the continuity of our own civilization.

"If, in the dying light of the Bush administration, we go to war with Iran, it'll all come down to one man. If we do not go to war with Iran, it'll come down to the same man. He is that rarest of creatures in the Bush universe: the good cop on Iran, and a man of strategic brilliance."

It's no longer "if" but a matter of when. Before the end of the year?
Time is running out.

Hey - I'm back! I'm almost finished reading The Zebra-Striped Hearse, by Ross McDonald. I've also have been watching The Big Tease, starring Craig Ferguson - I can't stop watching it!

I think a "Hello, 'Frisco!" may be in order. What the heck...I don't care what you do in you personal life...as long as it doesn't affect anyone else adversely.

That's the problem I have with hypocrites like Senators Larry Craig and Joey DiFatta - YOU GUYS ARE FAGS!

Be honest...you guys love grabbing a nice, hard hog whenever you can. I don't know a single one of my pals who thinks that they could hang out in a bathroom stall, grab some hog, and then protest that they aren't ghey?

I'd slap the reality into 'em real quick.

I'll end with a Secret Invasion discussion:

North American Union Traitors Include Chertoff, Rice, Bush

Lou Dobbs telling it like it is

Okay...we have some DM scumbags trying to "pooh-pooh" this as a non-event. I believe that, now that our dollar is on par with Canada's...that now the move is afoot to realign our dollar to the PESO.

Go look up the exchange rate.

That's MY new standard of living if I don't do anything.

This is OUR new standard of living if you don't do anything.

I believe this is why the presses and mints of the Ron Paul gold dollars were raided, and their stores seized. There's no reason to do this, unless there will be COMPETEING CURRENCY ARRIVING.

The Amero - the currency WE THE PEOPLE do NOT want

Found this at WRH's letter's page: Al and the Kaydas

Just a last second thank-you to Lou Dobbs - I was watching your show on CNN Saturday evening (yeah...I was sitting at HOME watching CNN on a Saturday evening...but that is what I must do to ensure that all of us can enjoy NIGHTS AT HOME WITH OUR FAMILIES); Lou...you know where America's bottom line is...and you see the bastards trying to tiptoe over it constantly...I am playing Devil's Advocate and posting this Alternet piece - Lou Dobbs is Clueless when it comes to the Drug War.

Oh, dear...you mean it was a LIE?

For your entertainment, a Mike Tyson soundboard/clip player...

Okay...two things:

1. So..."Ankles" Clinton is getting into the whole Diebold thing, eh? No paper trails, exit polling not congruent with voting tallies

2. The whole Reverend Jeremiah Wright debacle - I'll let the video speak for itself:

So, understand this - he was quoting someone else in the video...but our DM knows all about not letting the truth get in the way of "delivering the news".

Yeah, right...I'm not going to comment on the recent revelation of yet ANOTHER ISRAELI SPY ATTEMPT?!?

Don't you think it's about high time that we pull off the leech that is draining the lifeblood of the USA? These militant, war-mongering Israelis are NOT a friend to America - and considering their actions in Gaza, don't wish to be anyone's friend.

Go to MR's WRH page and check out the extent of the Israeli Spy Ring. It will shock you. All of the information is sourced.

No more blind support at the UN.

No more dual-citizenships in our government (no man can please/serve two masters).

No more money taken from Americans and given to a country that ACTIVELY WORKS TO UNDERMINE US.

"Evidence linking these Israelis to 9/11 is classified. I cannot tell you about evidence that has been gathered. It's classified information." -- US official quoted in Carl Cameron's Fox News report on the Israeli spy ring and its connections to 9-11. This report was Orwelled; rather, rendered NONEXISTENT.

545 People are responsible for the misery rampant in the United States of America!

Misstatements.
Prevarications.
Obfuscations.

Why don't we call a spade a frickin' spade - what we get are LIES.

Here's Scott Ritter on the DM

Example #1:

Pelosi Plans $178 Billion Blank Check for Iraq
"Measured in blood and treasure, the war in Iraq has achieved the status of a major war and a major debacle."

That's not from the peace movement - it's from the National Defense University, written by a senior Pentagon official who served under Donald Rumsfeld.

Yet despite the overwhelming opposition of the American people, Speaker Pelosi plans to rush a vote through Congress for another $178 billion blank check.

We must stop this madness. Tell Congress: No More Funds for Iraq

Activists around the country are organizing Iraq Town Halls so we can speak directly to our Representatives:
http://www.democrats.com/iraq-town-halls

Unfortunately most Representatives are afraid to face us at our Town Halls, so we're organizing May Day Protests outside their District Offices on Thursday, May 1 at noon.

May 1 is the original Labor Day, and several unions are going on strike to protest the Iraq War. It's also "Mission Accomplished Day" (2003) and "Downing Street Minutes Day" (2005). Can you join us?

Thanks for all you do!

Torture News Strike

After George Bush told ABC News he personally approved of the approval of torture - including waterboarding - you'd think the story would be front page news, not just on Countdown and The Daily Show.

But you'd be wrong. There has been absolutely no news coverage and just a handful of editorials in the Brattleboro (Vt.) Reformer, Kansas City Star, Seattle Post-Intelligencer, and Tuscaloosa (Ala.) News.

If your newspaper is missing, help us organize a Torture News Strike.
http://www.democrats.com/torture-news-strike

Call your newspaper editor and tell him/her you are suspending your subscription until they give Bush's torture confession the serious coverage it deserves in the news or editorial sections, or preferably both. Then call the circulation department and tell them to suspend delivery until further notice.

And post about it with your neighbors here:

Torture Impeachment Petition Collects 35,000 Signatures!

One week ago, we asked you to sign our petition to Congress to impeach Bush and Cheney for approving torture.

Your response was incredible! In just one week, we delivered 35,000 signatures to our Representatives and Senators!

If you haven't yet signed, please visit:

Dr. Martin Luther King famously said of the Vietnam War, "A time comes when silence is betrayal." When our President and Vice President personally approve torture, that time is now.

Of course, a year later, his ass was whacked.

Here's the issue: we have homeless veterans who are jobless, thanks to the short-sighted mindlessness of our military. We have jobs that PROFIT from outsourcing...but who will have money to buy your stupid products? You might get away with paying people in rice, but that won't help your bottom line when NO ONE HAS MONEY IN THE MARKET YOUR GOODS ARE SELLING.

Stupid asses.

Example #2:

Quotes

“One hundred nations in the UN have not agreed with us on just about everything that’s come before them, where we’re involved, and it didn’t upset my breakfast at all.

–Ronald Reagan, on the international reaction to the U.S. invasion of Grenada, November 3, 1983

The above quote just about summed up The Great Communicator’s take on pegging U.S. foreign policy to international approval rates.

Liberals take a different view. Seemingly, liberals equate international approval –especially by the Europeans–with the worthiness of a U.S. foreign policy goal.

What would American foreign policy look like under Democrats/liberals? Forget about Jimmy Carter and Bill Clinton, the last two Democrat presidents, and let them tell it in their own words.

Twenty liberal quotes about the United States and other countries.

“There was no imminent threat. This was made up in Texas, announced in January to the Republican leadership that war was going to take place and was going to be good politically. This whole thing was a fraud.

–Edward Kennedy, Democrat Senator, MA. Kennedy also said “We’ve known for many years that Saddam Hussein is seeing and developing weapons of mass destruction.” September 27, 2002.

“The greatest crime since World War II has been U.S. foreign policy.

–Ramsey Clark, former Democrat Attorney General

“[T]he war in Iraq has done more to embolden America’s enemies than any strategic choice that we have made in decades.

–Barack Obama, Democrat presidential candidate, March 19, 2008

“I believe … that this war is lost, and this surge is not accomplishing anything, as is shown by the extreme violence in Iraq this week.

–Harry Reid, Democrat Senate Majority Leader, April 18 2007

“I would like to apologize for referring to George W. Bush as a “deserter.” What I meant to say is that George W. Bush is a deserter, an election thief, a drunk driver, a WMD liar and a functional illiterate.

–Michael Moore

“He’s (Osama bin Laden) been out in these countries for decades, building schools, building roads, building infrastructure, building day-care facilities, building health-care facilities, and these people are extremely grateful. We haven’t done that.

–Patty Murray- Democratic Senator Washington (speech to a high school honors class)

“Republicans are men of narrow vision, who are afraid of the future.

–Jimmy Carter. Carter inaugurated full diplomatic relations with the People’s Republic of China in 1979, thus cutting formal U. S. ties with the Nationalist Chinese government on Taiwan. Conservatives severely criticized the treaties as a “sellout” of vital American interests.

“He betrayed this country! He played on our fears! He took America on an ill-conceived foreign adventure dangerous to our troops, an adventure pre-ordained and planned before 9/11 ever took place!”
–Al Gore. Gore also said, “We know that [Saddam Hussein] has stored secret supplies of biological and chemical weapons throughout his country.” September 23, 2002.

“This war has been a grotesque mistake that has diminished our reputation in the world and has not made America safer.

–Nancy Pelosi, Democrat House Leader, September 24, 2004

“In two short years, George W. Bush has taught us what the ‘W’ stands for — wrong. Wrong for our children, wrong for our parents, wrong for our values. Wrong, wrong, wrong for America.

John Edwards- Democratic Senator North Carolina (February 23, 2003 )

“Our paradigm now seems to be: something terrible happened to us on September 11, and that gives us the right to interpret all future events in a way that everyone else in the world must agree with us. And if they don’t, they can go straight to hell.

–Bill Clinton, former Democrat president who was “obsessed with terrorism”

“[Iraq is] the worst strategic mistake in the entire history of the United States–worse than a civil war.

–Al Gore

“Did I expect George Bush to f— it up as badly as he did? I don’t think anybody did.

–John Kerry, Democratic Senator Massachusetts

“One could say that Osama bin Laden and these non-nation-state fighters with religious purpose are very similar to those kind of atypical revolutionaries that helped to cast off the British crown.

–Marcy Kaptur- Democratic Representative Ohio

“Bin Laden didn’t come from the abstract. He came from somewhere, and if you look where … you’ll see America’s hand of villainy.

–Harry Belafonte. Belefonte played an ex-Union Army cavalry soldier in “Buck and the Preacher”.

“I mean, I think, Iraqis, I think, feel that if we drove smaller cars, maybe we wouldn’t have to kill them for their oil.

–Bill Mahr , Larry King Live (November 1, 2002)

“I despise him [President George W. Bush]. I despise his administration and everything they stand for. It is an embarrassing time to be an American. It really is. It’s humiliating.

–Jessica Lange, film festival in Spain (September 25, 2002)

“We don’t know whether in the long run the Iraqi people are better off, and the most important thing is we don’t know whether we’re better off.

–Howard Dean - Former Democrat Governor of Vermont and Democrat Presidential Candidate in 2004 (Meet The Press 6/22/03).

“This is a racist and imperialist war. The warmongers who stole the White House have hijacked a nation’s grief and turned it into a perpetual war on any non-white country they choose to describe as terrorist.

–Woody Harrelson. Actor Harrelson played a colonel in the movie, Pinkville.

“Bush says you’re either with us or against us. I don’t know who ‘us’ is. I say to Mr. Bush—this is what democracy looks like. We will not give our daughters and sons for a war for oil.

–Susan Sarandon. Sarandon played the wife of a retired army military police sergeant in “Valley of Elah”.

That’s the way liberal foreign policy would work.

The reader might want to print this out for quick reference.

One last well-known quote by Ronald Reagan sums up conservative reaction to the above collection:

“The trouble with our liberal friends is not that they’re ignorant: It’s just that they know so much that isn’t so."
_________________________________________________________________________
Okay...that's it for the quotes. Let's talk about some important stuff.

We The People do not like what our "representatives" are doing. For one, they are NOT representing WE THE PEOPLE in any way. They are in office, it seems, for their own benefit.

Here's a litany of HRC's lies to you and I, by Dick Morris.

Hillary's List of Lies

By Dick Morris

The USA Today/Gallup survey clearly explains why Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton (D-N.Y.) is losing. Asked whether the candidates were "honest and trustworthy," Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) won with 67 percent, with Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.) right behind him at 63. Hillary scored only 44 percent, the lowest rating for any candidate for any attribute in the poll.

Hillary simply cannot tell the truth. Here's her scorecard:

Admitted Lies

• Chelsea was jogging around the Trade Center on Sept. 11, 2001. (She was in bed watching it on TV.)
• Hillary was named after Sir Edmund Hillary. (She admitted she was wrong. He climbed Mt. Everest five years after her birth.)
• She was under sniper fire in Bosnia. (A girl presented her with flowers at the foot of the ramp.)
• She learned in The Wall Street Journal how to make a killing in the futures market. (It didn't cover the market back then.)

Whoppers She Won't Confess To

• She didn't know about the FALN pardons.
• She didn't know that her brothers were being paid to get pardons that Clinton granted.
• Taking the White House gifts was a clerical error.
• She didn't know that her staff would fire the travel office staff after she told them to do so.
• She didn't know that the Peter Paul fundraiser in Hollywood in 2000 cost $700,000 more than she reported it had.
• She opposed NAFTA at the time.
• She was instrumental in the Irish peace process.
• She urged Bill to intervene in Rwanda.
• She played a role in the '90s economic recovery.
• The billing records showed up on their own.
• She thought Bill was innocent when the Monica scandal broke.
• She was always a Yankees fan.
• She had nothing to do with the New Square Hasidic pardons (after they voted for her 1,400-12 and she attended a meeting at the White House about the pardons).
• She negotiated for the release of refugees in Macedonia (who were released the day before she got there).

With a record like that, is it any wonder that we suspect her of being less than honest and straightforward?

Why has McCain jumped out to a nine-point lead over Obama and a seven-point lead over Hillary in the latest Rasmussen poll? OK, Obama has had the Rev. Wright mess on his hands. And Hillary has come in for her share of negatives, like the Richardson endorsement of Obama and the denouement of her latest lie -- that she endured sniper fire during a trip to Bosnia. But why has McCain gained so much in so short a period of time? Most polls had the general election tied two weeks ago.

McCain's virtues require a contrast in order to stand out. His strength, integrity, solidity and dependability all are essentially passive virtues, which shine only by contrast with others. Now that Obama and Hillary are offering images that are much weaker, less honest, and less solid and dependable, good old John McCain looks that much better as he tours Iraq and Israel while the Democrats rip one another apart.

It took Nixon for us to appreciate Jimmy Carter's simple honesty. It took Clinton and Monica for us to value George W. Bush's personal character. And it takes the unseemly battle among the Democrats for us to give John McCain his due.

When Obama faces McCain in the general election (not if but when) the legacy of the Wright scandal will not be to question Obama's patriotism or love of America. It will be to ask if he has the right stuff (pardon the pun).

The largest gap between McCain and Obama in the most recent USA Today/Gallup Poll was on the trait of leadership. Asked if each man was a "strong, decisive leader," 69 percent felt that the description fit McCain while only 56 percent thought it would apply to Obama. (61 percent said it of Hillary.) Obama has looked weak handling the Rev. Wright controversy. His labored explanation of why he attacks the sin but loves the sinner comes across as elegant but, at the same time, feeble. Obama's reluctance to trade punches with his opponents makes us wonder if he could trade them with bin Laden or Ahmadinejad. We have no doubt that McCain would gladly come to blows and would represent us well, but about Obama we are not so sure.

Ron Paul is doing another fund-raising effort - see next.

This is a critical time for our country… Ron Paul is our beacon and he needs more support in Congress to make real change.

Such support will come from a leader with integrity such as Steven Vasquez, an MBA (RPI), entrepreneur (successful tech business called ReQuest), and a key member in the NY Ron Paul grassroot movement that helped lead to over 7% in the Super Tuesday primary, with no major media or national campaign support. Two of his top priorities are scaling back our military presence overseas and reducing wasteful spending. Steven is running in the NY 21st District and has one of the best chances of winning among the 40 Ron Paul Republicans. The incumbent is retiring this year, leaving an open seat (98% of the time the incumbent wins). Steven took up Ron Paul’s calling to run locally and will make the hard choices to protect our country and our liberties.

Steven needs your help to win this race. He needs over $200,000 to run a winning campaign. The Ron Paul movement is just getting started! Follow these 4 steps towards freedom… remember, that this one step to initiate hope, multiplied by many, leads to change:

1. Please visit http://www.steven2008.com and donate at least $75, $21, or $10.

2. Join Steven's Myspace Page at:

3. Become a supporter of Steven’s Facebook page at:
http://www. facebook. com/pages/Steven-Vasquez/12851159663

4. Send this message to 4 or more your like-minded friends.

If not you, then who… if not now, then when… be the change that you want to see in our country.

Hell...if you wanna send me money so I can do this all day...tell me just how many of you are interested in hearing/reading my rants.

Just in case you are wondering, here are my choices for who SHOULD be running for President of the United States of America:

1. Mike Gravel
2. Ron Paul
3. Bill Richardson
4. Dennis Kucinich

All of the others should get out NOW.

Mike Gravel lays down the law!

How the DM (Distraction Media) Picks YOUR candidates for President!

The DM

Hear Tim Robbins' take on the media.

Back to the subject of this blog - the BLOODY IMPLAUSIBILITY of the occurrences of September 11th, 2001. Here's a few examples...

I HATE referring to the events of that day using the cutesy contraction 9/11 - though it's obviously easier as a URL.

BUT I HATE IT.

The Head Chimp was able to almost manufacture his version of the Schutz-Staffel using our militia against us.

Truman was prescient in understanding that the newly-created intelligence agencies should NOT be given policing powers.

Here, I quote Lord Acton: "Power tends to corrupt;and absolute power corrupts ABSOLUTELY."

Now, I quote the Monkey King: "This would be easier if this were a dictatorship...as long as I'm the dictator."

Heh, heh...this idiot chuckled at the thought. He probably got a chubby, too.

Let's note a trend, shall we?

Abraham Lincoln - assassinated.

Why was he murdered? Was it because he freed the slaves?

Bupkis.

He was going to cost the bankers their il-gotten gains, and so he had to be removed. He had his own slaves, and if you delve into some of his not-so-promoted speeches, you'll find that he was an advocate of shipping "dem nigras" back to the dark land that spawned them.

Harry Truman - not assassinated.

Truman was responsible for the unnecessary deaths of the ground zero populations of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Are there really no Japanese with their balls in a dander, like if you shoved a whole bamboo rod under his fingernails, one splinter at a time? No problem here.

John Fitzgerald Kennedy - MURDERED.

JFK seemed to have rubbed a lot of guys the wrong way. Was it that he refused Israel nuclear weapons? They obtained them, regardless - our "pals", alright.

Was it that he actively target the Mafia after using their resources to gain the Presidency? It's feasible, if not ridiculous...if the Secret Service were performing their functions adequately.

Was it the CIA? If you'll remember, after the Bay of Pigs fiasco, JFK threatened to disband the agency. As I stated once before - did we need the events of September 11th to occur 46 years early? Don't you think that these idiots would've bungled that op, just as they did September 11th?

I KNOW it wasn't Lee Harvey Oswald...and in your heart of hearts, YOU KNOW AS WELL.

Hey - maybe it was someone who was outraged that Marilyn Monroe was getting fingercuffed in the Oval Office by JFK and Bobby...why not?

MLK - MURDERED.

I covered a lot of this in a previous blog. I practically copied Mike Rivero's MLK page here on MLK's birthday, and I will eventually replace his information with some of my own verbiage and interpretation of the events...but I did spend an inordinate amount of time copying the picture links, so I may retain a good number of those pic links. But I digress - he actually worked to keep the masses in line with his non-violence stance...which, of course, did not save his ass in the end. And think about this...who called him out on the balcony that day? Jesse "Mumblemouth" Jackson...yes, the same Jesse Jackson who obtained quite a nice bit of change from Texaco, after the infamous "black jellybeans stuck to the bottom of the bag" debacle.

Robert Francis Kennedy - MURDERED!!!

Damn...if there's any case that actually gives me the shits, it's this one. The LAPD did EVERYTHING IN THEIR GODDAMN POWER to cover up the obvious-to-Ray-Charles-on-horse events of the day.

Stevie Wonder would've done a better investigation than these fucking morons.

"Look - the presidential nominee was just shot! Whoa...I heard more gunshots than could possibly come from the gun that wiry little mud bastard was using...should we look for another gunman?"

"Nah...let's get that photographer..."

Okay...the trend I was speaking of is a simple one.

Those who attempt, in some way, to improve the human condition, are murdered, maligned or destroyed. And I'm not equating either JFK or MLK as some sort of saints; they're not even in my league!

The scumbags who wish to rob everyone else blind of all possessions, earthly or otherwise, can do so with IMPUNITY.

Excuse me for a spell...I'm gonna go mainline some Jameson's...

Kanzius Machine: A Cancer Cure?

The Kanzius Machine: A Cancer Cure?

April 13, 2008(CBS) What if we told you that a guy with no background in science or medicine-not even a college degree-has come up with what may be one of the most promising breakthroughs in cancer research in years?

Well it's true, and if you think it sounds improbable, consider this: he did it with his wife's pie pans and hot dogs.

His name is John Kanzius, and he's a former businessman and radio technician who built a radio wave machine that has cancer researchers so enthusiastic about its potential they're pouring money and effort into testing it out.

Here's the important part: if clinical trials pan out-and there's still a long way to go-the Kanzius machine will zap cancer cells all through your body without the need for drugs or surgery and without side effects. None at all. At least that's the idea.

The last thing John Kanzius thought he'd ever do was try to cure cancer. A former radio and television executive from Pennsylvania, he came to Florida to enjoy his retirement.

"I have no business being in the cancer business. It’s not something that a layman like me should be in, it should be left to doctors and research people," he told correspondent Lesley Stahl.

"But sometimes it takes an outsider," Stahl remarked.

"Sometimes it just - maybe you get lucky," Kanzius replied.

It was the worst kind of luck that gave Kanzius the idea to use radio waves to kill cancer cells: six years ago, he was diagnosed with terminal leukemia and since then has undergone 36 rounds of toxic chemotherapy. But it wasn't his own condition that motivated him, it was looking into the hollow eyes of sick children on the cancer ward at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston.

"I saw the smiles of youth and saw their spirits were broken. And you could see that they were sort of asking, 'Why can't they do something for me?'" Kanzius told Stahl.

"So they started to haunt you. The children," Stahl asked.
"Their faces. I still remember them holding on their Teddy bears and so forth," he replied. "And shortly after that I started my own chemotherapy, my third round of chemotherapy."

Kanzius told Stahl the chemotherapy made him very sick and that he couldn't sleep at night. "And I said, 'There’s gotta be a better way to treat cancer.'"

It was during one of those sleepless nights that the light bulb went off. When he was young, Kanzius was one of those kids who built radios from scratch, so he knew the hidden power of radio waves. Sick from chemo, he got out of bed, went to the kitchen, and started to build a radio wave machine.

"Started looking in the cupboard and I saw pie pans and I said, 'These are perfect. I can modify these,'" he recalled.

His wife Marianne woke up that night to a lot of banging and clamoring. "I was concerned truthfully that he had lost it," she told Stahl.

"She felt sorry for me," Kanzius added.

"I did," Marianne Kanzius acknowledged. "And I had mentioned to him, 'Honey, the doctors can't-you know, find an answer to cancer. How can you think that you can?'"

That's what 60 Minutes wanted to know, so Stahl went to his garage laboratory to find out.

Here's how it works: one box sends radio waves over to the other, creating enough energy to activate gas in a fluorescent light. Kanzius put his hand in the field to demonstrate that radio waves are harmless to humans.

"So right from the beginning you're trying to show that radio waves could activate gas and not harm the human-anything else," Stahl remarked. "'Cause you're looking for some kind of a treatment with no side effects, that's what's in your head."

"No side effects," Kanzius replied.

But how could he focus the radio waves to destroy cancer cells?

"That was the next $64,000 question," Kanzius said.

The answer would cost much more than that. Kanzius spent about $200,000 just to have a more advanced version of his machine built. He knew that metal heats up when it's exposed to high-powered radio waves. So what if a tumor was injected with some kind of metal, and zapped with a focused beam of radio waves? Would the metal heat up and kill the cancer cells, but leave the area around them unharmed? He did his first test with hot dogs.

"I'm going to inject it with some copper sulfate," Kanzius explained, demonstrating the machine. "And I’m going to take the probe right at the injection site."

Kanzius placed the hot dog in his radio wave machine, and Stahl watched to see if the temperature would rise in that one area where the metal solution was and nowhere else.

"And when I saw it start to go up I said, 'Eureka, I've done it,'" Kanzius remembered. "And I said, 'God, I gotta shut this off and see whether it's still cold down below.' So I shut it off, took my probe, went down here where it wasn’t injected. And the temperature dropped back down. And I said, 'God, maybe I got something here.'"

Kanzius thought he had found a way attack cancer cells without the collateral damage caused by chemotherapy and radiation. Today, his invention is in the laboratories of two major research centers - the University of Pittsburgh and M.D. Anderson, where Dr. Steven Curley, a liver cancer surgeon, is testing it.

"This technology may allow us to treat just about any kind of cancer you can imagine," Dr. Curley told Stahl. "I've gotta tell you, in 20 years of research this is the most exciting thing that I’ve encountered."

That's because Kanzius impressed Curley with another remarkable idea: to combine the radio waves from his device with something cutting edge - space age nanoparticles made of metal or carbon. They are so small that thousands of them can fit in a single cancer cell. Because they’re metallic, Kanzius was hoping his radio waves would them heat up and kill the cancer.

"If these nanoparticles work then we truly have something huge here," Kanzius told Stahl.

Enter Rick Smalley, another cancer patient at M.D. Anderson and the man who won the Nobel Prize for discovering nanoparticles made from carbon. As luck would have it, Dr. Curley was called in one day to examine Smalley. Before leaving, he asked him for some of his nanoparticles.

"I proceeded to tell him what I wanted to do and that I thought they would heat. He looked at me with sort of a studied long look and didn’t say anything. And then he looked at me and said, 'It won’t work,'" Curley remembered. "And just laughed and said, 'Well, look, I'll give you some. But don't be too disappointed.'"

So Dr. Curley brought a vial of those precious nanoparticles to John Kanzius.

And on an August day in 2005, Curley and Kanzius put them to the test. Would the metallic nanoparticles heat up enough to kill cancer?

"So we take the nanoparticles, we put 'em in the radio field. And in about 15 seconds, they’re boiling and heating and Steve Curley couldn't contain himself. He called Rick Smalley and he said, 'Rick, you’re not going to believe this. He just blew the smithereens out of your nanoparticles,'" Kanzius recalled.

Smalley's response? "The only thing that I got out of him after this pause was, “Holy s…,'" Curley recalled.

Not long after that day, Smalley died of lymphoma. Once a skeptic, he had become one of Kanzius' biggest supporters.

"He didn’t expect it, but he embraced it to his death bed when he told Dr. Curley this will change medicine forever. Don't stop, no matter what you do," Kanzius told Stahl.

And they haven't stopped. They’ve already shown that the Kanzius machine can heat nanoparticles and cook cancer to death in animals. Dr. Curley with rabbits, and in Pittsburgh, Dr. David Geller demonstrated to 60 Minutes how he used nanoparticles, made from gold, to kill liver cancer cells grown in rats.

"Now what we’re going to do is inject the nanoparticles," Dr. Geller explained. "Directly into the tumor."

In the study the rats, anesthetized to keep them still, were exposed to the Kanzius radio waves. Dr. Geller later examined their tumors under a microscope.

"What you can see is that cells are starting to fall apart. You see white spaces in between them. The body of the cell is shrinking, the cells are starting to die," Geller pointed out.

"And can you tell from this whether the area surrounding the tumor had any destruction?" Stahl asked.

"Grossly inspecting the animal, we did not see not see any damage to the surrounding tissue," Geller said.

So far, the Kanzius method has only been applied to solid, localized tumors in animals. The ultimate goal is to treat cancer that has metastasized or spread to other parts of the body. Those undetectable rogue cells are what most often kill people with cancer and the trick is finding them.

"If we can't target the microscopic cells this is not going to be a cure," Curley said.

That’s why Curley is trying to use special molecules that are programmed to target cancer cells and attach nanoparticles to them.

He showed Stahl an animation of how he hopes the targeting will work in people one day, with a simple injection of gold nanoparticles into the bloodstream.

"What we’re seeing here is an example of a gold nanoparticle in this case with an antibody on it, so the antibody would be the targeting molecule," Curley explained. "You can see it is tiny compared to a normal red blood cell just imagine all of these billions of these gold nanoparticles circulating through the body and then once they get into the blood vessels going to the tumor, these nanoparticles would go through and bind on the surface of the cell."

"The cancer cell. It wouldn't bind on a normal cell," Stahl observed.

"That's right, they would bind only to the cancer cell. Now here’s the nanoparticles in the cell, here comes John's radio frequency treatment. The cells get hot and they’re destroyed," Curley said.

"Gosh, it does look like one of those science fiction movies," Stahl remarked.

"Right now it is a little science fiction," Curley agreed. "We’re not quite to the real time yet, but it’s got a lot of promise."

Even if all goes well in the lab, it'll be at least another four years before human trials can start. But John Kanzius says he's afraid he doesn't have that much time. So to help speed up the research, he's been raising millions of dollars and getting press coverage about his invention.

"Now I can't count the number of times the journalistic community, has done stories on a cancer cure," Stahl said. "I did one in 1973. …How many times have we seen these things work in the Petri dish, work with animals. And then you get them into humans and they don’t work."

"Dozens," Curley replied.

But if this one does work, it most likely won't be developed in time to help the man who invented it. John Kanzius may have the option of a bone marrow transplant that could buy him more time, but after six years of chemo it would be another grueling ordeal.

"Did you ever say, 'I’m not going to do this anymore. I’m not going to put myself through it,'?" Stahl asked.

"Yes. I said that-only about a year and a half ago," Kanzius replied. "I changed my mind because I think with all the research that’s going on with the institutions, that maybe, I'd like to be around for the first patient to get treated and just have a smile."

"Oh my God," Stahl said.

"And then I don't care anymore," Kanzius replied.

Let's hope that his invention isn't stifled - hospitals can migrate this in place of their useless chemo/radiation treatments.

By the way, Condoleezza Rice must GO!
